Persona 4 Remake Rumors Intensify Following p4re.jp Domain Registration

Fans are buzzing with excitement over rumors of a Persona 4 remake. A website called p4re.jp just popped up, following the same pattern as when Persona 3 Reload was revealed.

On top of that, Shihoko Hirata, the voice behind many iconic Persona 4 songs, recently hinted that she’s been recording for a mystery game.

With all these clues lining up, it’s no surprise the gaming community is getting hyped. Let’s get into what’s fueling the speculation.

Emergence of p4re.jp Domain Registration Hints at Persona 4 Remake

A new website, "p4re.jp," was registered on March 20, 2025, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Many believe this could mean a Persona 4 remake is on the way. This follows the same pattern as "p3re.jp," a domain that popped up in 2023, just a few months before Persona 3 Reload was revealed.

Twitter user Faz (@ScrambledFaz) brought attention to the domain, noting its similarity to the previous registration. While the identity of the registrant remains unknown, the familiar pattern has led to growing speculation.

Many now anticipate an official announcement regarding a Persona 4 remake in the near future.

Shihoko Hirata's Involvement in Unannounced Game

Shihoko Hirata, the voice behind many songs in Persona 4, recently revealed that she’s recording music for a mystery game.

She dropped the news on her Instagram, saying the track is pretty tough but she’s giving it her all. The singer notes that "the piece is pretty tough, so I'm a bit nervous about getting it right. But I'll do my best!"

As has been pointed out by Twitter account @rudiger__tw, the photo she shared hints that she’s at MIT Studio in Tokyo, a place known for recording Persona soundtracks, including Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload.

Even fans picked up on the fact that she liked comments about Persona 4, making them wonder if she’s involved in the rumored remake.

Further, in early 2024, leaker 'Head on the Block' (formerly known as 'I'm A Hero Too') claimed that Atlus was developing a full remake of Persona 4

On top of that, they mentioned that Persona 2 would receive remastered versions of both 'Innocent Sin' and 'Eternal Punishment,' featuring quality-of-life improvements and new translations.

At that time, the Persona 4 remake was reportedly not yet in production and considered to be "years away."

Now, people are getting excited about the possibility of a Persona 4 remake being revealed at the Xbox Game Showcase in June 2025.

Fans have good reason to believe this might happen—Atlus announced Persona 3 Reload at the same event back in 2023. Moreover, this newly registered domain, "p4re.jp," has popped up, making the rumors even stronger.

With Atlus following a similar pattern before, it wouldn't be surprising if this long-awaited remake finally gets its big reveal.
