Nintendo Switch 2 Units Reportedly in Users' Hands; Price Speculated at $350

People are super curious about the Nintendo Switch 2, and a user who shared the Switch 2 CAD model previously on the Xiaohongshu forum claims that they have a real Switch 2 now. There’s also talk that it could cost around $350.

While we wait for official news, here is all that we know about this matter.

Alleged Early Access to Nintendo Switch 2

A user named Necro Felipe, who’s active on the Xiaohongshu forum, first correctly leaked a CAD model of the console. Now, they claim to have an actual unit, though it’s unclear how they got it. If true, this means the Switch 2 is floating around in certain circles.

He advises those interested in accessories to contact him for testing the device.

This raises some big questions. Did they get it through a leak? Was it sold under the table? If this wasn’t an official release, it could be illegal. But since there’s no solid proof yet, it’s all just talk for now.

Pricing Speculation for Nintendo Switch 2

Adding to above, some leaked info from Costco Canada hints at a price of 499.99 CAD, which is about 350 USD. Experts believe Nintendo Switch 2 might actually sell for around $400. That would put it in the same price range as the Steam Deck, which goes for $399.

Nintendo usually prices its consoles lower than the competition, so a $350 to $400 price tag makes sense.

For now, Nintendo hasn’t told us how much the Switch 2 will cost yet, and that’s got everyone guessing. Prices could depend on things like inflation, exchange rates, and what people expect to pay. Moreover, Nintendo’s president, Shuntaro Furukawa, said they’re thinking about all this to keep the console affordable.

As the launch gets closer, more details will likely come out, and we also have a Nintendo Direct coming soon.

Nintendo Direct And Nintendo Switch 2 Experience

Nintendo just announced a special Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025, at 6 a.m. PDT to show off the brand-new Nintendo Switch 2. They’ll be sharing all the cool details, like what’s new, how fast it runs, and when it’s coming out. Expect some exciting game reveals too.

That’s not all—Nintendo is setting up hands-on events called the "Nintendo Switch 2 Experience" so people can try it before it launches. These events kick off in April and run through June 2025 in different cities.

If you're in New York (April 4–6), Los Angeles (April 11–13), Dallas (April 25–27), or Toronto (April 25–27), you might get a chance to test the new console. But spots are limited, so you have to register for a random drawing. If you're lucky, Nintendo will send you an email to confirm your spot.

Overall, people are getting super excited about the Nintendo Switch 2. Some say they already have it and some claim it might cost around $350. But we know nothing for sure.

Thank you for your feedback.
