Genshin Impact Iansan Kit and Abilities
Iansan’s leaked kit in Genshin Impact reveals her to be a very capable off-field sub-DPS, Support, and Electro applier. Based on Genshin 5.5 beta leaks, she seems like a strong character who can deal damage even when she's not on the field.
Her abilities also help teammates, making her a solid choice for those who love Electro reactions.
Normal Attack – Weighted Spike
- Normal Attack: She swings her spear up to three times in a row, keeping enemies on their toes.
- Charged Attack: She dashes forward, hitting anything in her way while using up stamina.
- Plunging Attack: She leaps from mid-air and slams into the ground, damaging enemies on the way down and causing a shockwave on impact.
- Nightsoul State – Swift Stormflight: When powered up by Nightsoul’s Blessing, her Charged Attack changes. Instead of dashing, she stomps down hard, dealing Electro damage in a big area while using stamina.
Elemental Skill – Thunderbolt Rush
Iansan dashes ahead, hitting every enemy in her way with Electro damage. For the next 5 seconds, if she does a Normal Attack, she gets a free Swift Stormflight stomp without using stamina.
Right after this move, she restores Nightsoul points up to her max and enters Nightsoul’s Blessing.
- Nightsoul Blessing – Iansan: While in Nightsoul’s Blessing, she moves faster and jumps higher. If she holds a sprint, she enters Thunderbolt Rush mode, making her even quicker and able to leap huge distances. She can jump off terrain, run on water, and even move across liquid Phlogiston without taking damage—though this burns through her Nightsoul points. This state lasts until she runs out of Nightsoul points or uses her Elemental Skill again.
Elemental Burst – The Three Principles of Power
Iansan slams the ground, sending out a burst of Electro energy that hits everything around her. Right after, she calls in a Kinetic Energy Scale that makes the active character stronger, depending on how many Nightsoul points she has.
The Scale also helps her get Nightsoul points back, based on how far the active character moves.
- Kinetic Energy Scale: The Kinetic Energy Scale sticks close to the character, giving different attack boosts depending on Iansan’s Nightsoul points. If she has less than 42, the boost comes from her Nightsoul points and attack power. If she has 42 or more, it’s only based on her attack. The Scale also keeps track of movement, refilling Iansan’s Nightsoul points every second based on how much the active character moved before.
Genshin Impact Iansan Passive Talents
- Night Realm’s Gift: Hard Work and Drive: When Iansan runs out of Nightsoul points, she doesn’t stop fighting! Instead, she taps into Phlogiston to keep her Nightsoul’s Blessing active. If she’s in Natlan, places with Phlogiston Mechanics will give her 25 Nightsoul points when she activates Nightsoul Transmission.
- Enhanced Resistance Training: Landing a hit with Swift Stormflight makes her even stronger. For the next 15 seconds, her attack power jumps by 20%. Every time she regains Nightsoul points using the Kinetic Energy Scale in her Elemental Burst, she gets one extra point. If her teammates use up or restore Nightsoul points, the next time she restores them with the Scale, she’ll get 4 extra instead of just 1.
- Kinetic Energy Gradient Test: When a party member sets off a Nightsoul Burst, Iansan gets fired up. For the next 10 seconds, any time she restores at least 1 Nightsoul point, she also heals the active character for 60% of her attack power. This can happen once every 2.8 seconds.
- Caloric Balancing Plan: If she’s in a Phlogiston Mechanic area in Natlan and her Phlogiston levels drop below 50%, she quickly regains 10 Phlogiston. This happens once every 10 seconds, keeping her fueled and ready.
Genshin Iansan Constellations
Recent leaks on Reddit have revealed Iansan’s constellations in Genshin Impact too.
- C1: Starting's Never Easy: While in the Nightsoul's Blessing state during combat, Iansan restores 15 Elemental Energy for every 6 Nightsoul points she consumes. This effect can trigger once every 18 seconds.
- C2: Laziness is the Enemy: Upon using her Elemental Burst, Iansan gains the Precise Movement effect from her Passive Talents for 15 seconds. Additionally, if she is off-field while Precise Movement is active, she will also increase the currently active character's Attack by 30%.
- C3: Scientific Diet Planning: Increases the level of Iansan's Elemental Skill by 3.
- C4: Slow and Steady Wins the Race: When the Kinetic Energy Scale is on the field, Iansan gets 2 Surging Force stacks each time another character (but not her) uses their Elemental Burst. These stacks stick around until the Scale disappears, and she can only get them once per summon. If she gains Nightsoul points from the Scale, she’ll use up one Surging Force stack to get 4 extra Nightsoul points. If she ends up with more Nightsoul than she can hold, half of the extra points will carry over for the next time she restores Nightsoul through the Scale.
- C5: We Can Push It Further: Increases the level of Iansan's Elemental Burst by 3.
- C6: Teachings of the Collective of Plenty: The Kinetic Energy Scale's duration is increased by 3 seconds. Additionally, when Iansan triggers Nightsoul point restoration, if there is any overflow, she will gain the Extreme Force effect, which increases the damage dealt by the currently active character by 25% for 3 seconds.
