Zenless Zone Zero is about to drop its Version 1.3 update, and fans are buzzing with excitement for two new characters: Lighter and Yanagi. These highly anticipated S-Rank agents will be released in two phases. Lighter will be available first, followed by Yanagi in the second phase.

Here's a look at what players can expect from these new S-Rank characters coming in the ZZZ 1.3 banner.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 Banner Phase 1: Lighter

Lighter is making waves as the first limited male S-Rank agent in Zenless Zone Zero, and fans can’t wait for his debut. He’s part of the Sons of Calydon faction and specializes in Fire attacks. Although we don’t know everything about his abilities yet, some leaks have given us a peek. His Normal Attack has a five-hit combo, and during the last three hits, he gets a 40% damage reduction. Lighter’s EX Special Attack is a powerful uppercut that deals both Daze and Fire damage, with a chance for a follow-up move if he has enough energy left.

Lighter also has a unique passive skill called "Moral Eruption." As his Morale builds, his damage goes up, and he can reduce enemy resistance to Ice and Fire. Plus, his passive increases the stun time on enemies he dazes. Overall, Lighter seems like a versatile character, able to dish out strong damage while also boosting his teammates—especially those who deal Ice or Fire damage.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 Banner Phase 2: Yanagi

Next up in Phase 2 of ZZZ 1.3 banners is Tsukishiro Yanagi, another S-Rank agent specializing in Electric Anomaly abilities. She’s from Section 6, a faction that’s been hinted at in earlier game updates. Like Lighter, not all her skills have been fully revealed, but there are some interesting leaks about her.

Yanagi’s Basic Attack is a five-hit combo that does both Physical and Electric damage. She has two different stances: one makes her more resistant to interruptions, while the other increases her chance to interrupt enemies. Her EX Special lets her perform a powerful slash and enter a mode that boosts her damage for 15 seconds. And her Ultimate? It’s an Area of Effect (AOE) attack followed by a massive lightning strike. She’s got a passive ability that debuffs enemies, making them take more Electric damage, which could make her a game-changer for Electric-based teams.

Well, both Lighter and Yanagi are shaping up to be strong additions to the Zenless Zone Zero roster. Lighter, with his Fire abilities and team buffs, is likely to be a flexible character who can handle both damage and support roles. Yanagi, on the other hand, seems like a powerhouse for Electric damage, possibly even replacing other characters in that role thanks to her ability to boost Anomaly buildup and Electric damage on enemies.
