The latest League of Legends (LoL) Patch 14.20 is set to drop on October 9, 2024, and there’s a lot to look forward to. Like every update, Riot Games is tweaking things to keep the game balanced and fresh for players. In this patch, we’ve got some champion changes, new skins, and system updates to get excited about.

One of the coolest things in this Patch 14.20 is the visual and lore revamp of Teemo, one of LoL's most famous (and sometimes hated) champions. Teemo is getting a full makeover with new splash art, fresh ability icons, updated sound effects, and even new voice lines. His story is also getting a bit of an update to better fit with the current game lore. If you’re a Teemo fan, or even if you’re not, it’ll be fun to see him with a fresh look.
As usual, Riot is making balance changes to several champions. In this patch, champs like Aphelios, Caitlyn, Corki, and more are getting buffs, so they’ll be a bit stronger in the game. On the flip side, champions like Anivia, Aurelion Sol, Camille, and more are being nerfed, which means they won’t be as dominant as they were before.
Riot is also adjusting some items, especially for ADC (Attack Damage Carry) champs. Right now, players are mostly picking the same items, like Infinity Edge, because they’re super strong. To shake things up a bit, Riot is making changes to items like The Collector, Statikk Shiv, and Blade of the Ruined King. This should give ADC players more variety and make gameplay feel more diverse.

Of course, no patch is complete without new skins. Patch 14.20 is bringing new skins for champs like Yasuo, Neeko, Sivir, Gragas, and Trundle. These skins are part of different collections, including the Nightbringer and Anniversary sets.
Speaking of anniversaries, there’s also a special Anniversary event starting on October 9 and running until October 28. During this event, you can complete missions to earn rewards like the Anniversary Sivir skin, icons, and a bunch of essences. So, don’t forget to log in and claim your rewards while you can.

LoL 14.20 Patch Release Times
The patch is rolling out on October 9, 2024, at different times depending on your region. In North America, it drops at 3 a.m. PT, and in Europe, it’s coming at 5 a.m. GMT. As always, there will be a bit of downtime during the update, so ranked and casual games will be disabled for a few hours before the patch goes live.
