League of Legends Swain Rework 2024 in 14.21 Patch

Swain, a character in League of Legends, is getting a big update in patch 14.21, which will change how he works in the game. The developers at Riot Games want to make Swain more flexible and stronger in battles, especially when he's up close to his enemies. Even though he keeps his same abilities, their effects are getting some changes, including both boosts (buffs) and cuts (nerfs).

League of Legends Swain Rework in 14.21 Patch

Before the new LoL Swain rework, he mainly depended on his ultimate ability to be powerful in fights. But now, Riot is trying to give him a better balance by making his regular abilities stronger, so he doesn’t have to rely only on his ultimate. The aim is to make Swain tougher in battles and more useful in different situations during a match.

One of the big changes to his ultimate ability, called "Demonic Ascension," is that it will create more explosions that do damage to enemies. The damage will now depend on how much health Swain has, making him more like a tank. This means that the more damage he can take, the more dangerous he becomes in fights. Also, how often Swain can use his ultimate now depends on something called "ability haste," so he can use it more often during battles.

Swain’s update is not just about making him stronger; it’s also about taking away some of his strengths to keep the game fair. His base mana is getting reduced, and some of his damage outputs are getting smaller. For example, his "Demonic Ascension" will heal less from his ability power but more from his overall health. This is a shift to make him less about healing and more about being a damage-dealing tank in close fights.

Well, Swain has been struggling a bit in the game lately, especially when facing champions who are quick and hard to catch. He wasn’t seen much in major competitions like Worlds 2024 because he was either too strong in some situations or too weak in others. With this LoL 14.21 patch, Riot is trying to make him more balanced so that he can be used in more matches without being overpowered.
