Genshin Impact 5.2 Banners: Chasca and Ororon Splash Art and Lore Revealed

Genshin Impact's 5.2 banner is getting a lot of buzz with the reveal of two new characters, Chasca and Ororon. These characters are set to join the game in the upcoming version, bringing fresh abilities and unique lore to the world of Teyvat. Fans are excited to learn more about them, especially since their splash art and background details have been officially unveiled.

Genshin Impact 5.2 Banner Characters: Chasca and Ororon

Chasca and Ororon are the stars of the Genshin Impact 5.2 update.

Genshin Chasca Drip Marketing

Chasca, an Anemo character, comes from the Flower-Feather Clan in Natlan. She’s known as the "Peacemaker of the Tlalocan" and has a title called the "Skyborne Arbiter." In the game's story, she plays a significant role and is one of the strongest heroes from her region. Leaks suggest that Chasca will be a 5-star character, which means she'll be one of the top-tier units in the game. She uses a bow and has a constellation called Vultur Gryphus.

According to HoYoverse:

"...There's no hope for the child... You know I can't accept that either! But, please... just give up."

This was the first "conflict" that Chasca experienced in her life.

"...Just what's wrong with this kid? Was she raised by a Qucusaurus or something? No wonder she's so wild..."

This was one of the countless "conflicts" that Chasca faced after returning to the Flower-Feather Clan.

Though her childhood memories were already blurry, Chasca still remembered the emotions stirring beneath those words: disappointment, pain, bitterness, and frustration... People were caught in a web of emotions, forever entangled in "conflict."

But "conflicts" can eventually be resolved. All it takes is a turning point.

"...Kraa?" A Qucusaurus, soaring high up in the sky, just so happened to catch sight of the helpless "child" crying piteously for food down below.

"At least give me a heads-up next time!" A young girl, after practically having searched the length and breadth of the mountains, puffed with anger after finding her runaway "sister."

...Perhaps many "conflicts" weren't as deeply rooted, or as difficult to "transcend," as people imagined?

Gear packed and bullets loaded, Chasca — who was now a fully-fledged Peacemaker — stepped through the door to embrace the morning breeze.

"This time... it's my turn to resolve some conflicts." Lowering the brim of her hat, she smiled to herself.

Genshin Ororon Drip Marketing

Ororon, on the other hand, is an Electro character from the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. He’s known as the "Shadow of the Night-Wind" and goes by the nickname "Shrouded Bat of Mictlan." Like Chasca, Ororon is expected to wield a bow, but he’s rumored to be a 4-star character. His constellation is called Vampyrum Spectrum. Ororon is tied into the lore with connections to the main antagonist in the Pyro nation, which hints at an interesting storyline.

According to HoYoverse:

One scorchingly hot afternoon, a young man closed his front door behind him, then turned to say goodbye to the seedlings in his yard.

"Good afternoon, just heading out for a bit. Hope you guys grow a bit greener by the time I'm back. You've got this!"

He returned with a friend not long after, offering a kindly heads-up as they walked past the large tree by the entrance.

"Big Pinecone's roots have gotten a bit out of hand lately, so be careful not to trip."

Natlan is a weird and wonderful land, and the good doctor Ifa, having grown up here, was no stranger to Ororon's odd way of speaking. He remembered that long ago, an alpaca named Little Pinecone had bumped into that same tree, which might explain why Ororon referred to it as Big Pinecone.

"And it's not even a pine tree," thought Ifa, though he didn't inquire further.

A weird and wonderful land indeed. It is a nation that embraces all living beings, whether their paths in life have been smooth, or not so smooth. All things have their cause, give rise to their effects, and in the end, serve their purpose. The flawed, the sly, the stubborn... all shall burn, flowing together as brilliant, vibrant soulfire.
