Well, fans are really pumped for these skins, especially seeing Reinhardt as All Might, which has gotten a lot of love. But some people think Tracer’s Deku skin doesn’t really look like Deku from the anime, so there’s a bit of mixed feelings there.
Overwatch 2 x My Hero Academia Release Date and Features
The event starts on October 17 and goes until October 30, 2024, so you’ll have about two weeks to check out all the special content. Besides the skins, Blizzard has hinted that there will be sprays, a weapon charm, emotes, souvenirs, and player icons, all based on My Hero Academia.
If you play Overwatch 2 on Xbox Game Pass, you’ll even get some extra goodies that other players won’t have access to. Blizzard has done crossovers like this before, with One-Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop, and those included more fun stuff too, so we can probably expect some surprises with the My Hero Academia event too.

For anyone who doesn’t know about My Hero Academia, it’s a Japanese anime that tells the story of Deku, a kid born without powers in a world where almost everyone has cool abilities called “quirks.” Even though he has no powers, he really wants to be a hero, and eventually, he gets a super strong quirk from his hero mentor, All Might. You can watch the anime on platforms like Crunchyroll, Netflix, or Amazon Prime if you’re curious.
Overall, this OW2 x My Hero Academia collab is going to be another fun way for fans of the anime and Overwatch 2 to come together, and it’s sure to bring some action-packed experience.
