The developers of Wuthering Waves have finally unveiled the upcoming characters in their recent 1.3 drip marketing campaign. According to official announcements, Shorekeeper is from Black Shores, and Youhu is associated with Huanglong. Shorekeeper is a 5-star Resonator while Youhu is a 4-star character.
Shorekeeper
The first upcoming Resonator for 1.3 update confirmed is Shorekeeper. According to official drip marketing, she is a 5-star Resonator from the Black Shores and is depicted as a mysterious divine being. The next destination for Rover is hinted to be the Black Shores, so players will soon meet her. Moreover, She will be the third character from Black Shores featured in the game, following Aalto and Encore.
Based on Shorekeeper’s color scheme, she seems to fit the Glacio element best, but she could also be a new Spectro unit due to her association with butterflies.

Leaks shared by @WuWa_Universe on X from Tieba suggest Youhu uses Gauntlets as her weapon. She is also rumored to be a Glacio character. Additionally, the leak mentions that her skills "can hear near and far," though the meaning of this remains unclear.
It is speculated that Youhu is an off-field damage dealer relying on luck, similar to Qingque from Honkai Star Rail, whose kit involves shuffling mahjong tiles to get a four-of-a-kind, boosting her attack.
Wuthering Waves Shorekeeper
According to the new leaks, The Shorekeeper is expected to be a Rectifier user. She will likely summon a domain with three levels, enhancing the effects of her buffs. She also has an ability to transform into a butterfly, which can be used for exploration. Additionally, The Shorekeeper is rumored to be a Glacio unit.
The leaks also suggest that she will likely be a support unit that provides buffs to boost the party's damage while also healing them, which is something players have eagerly awaited.
Wuthering Waves 1.3 Banner Release Date
Currently, WuWa update 1.1 Phase 2 is underway with the Changli’s banner, and WuWa 1.2 Phase 1 will feature the Xiangli Yao banner. According to the official schedule, Changli's banner will run until September 4, 2024. Therefore, players can expect the first WuWa 1.3 banner to be released around September 5, 2024.
