Valorant Vyse - abilities, splash art, release date, teasers, and Agent 26 revealed |
The world of Valorant is about to get even more exciting with the release of a brand-new agent, Vyse, who is Agent 26. Vyse is a Sentinel agent and brings something cool to the game—she can use liquid metal powers to set traps and control the battlefield.
Let’s check out what the Valorant Vyse agent can do, what is her release date, and what are the rewards that players will get with her.
Valorant Vyse Release Date
August 28, 2024, has been announced as the official Vyse release date, which is the same day when Episode 9 Act 2 drops.
As the newest Sentinel, Vyse is all about helping teams lock down parts of the map and create sneaky obstacles for enemies. Her liquid metal abilities and smart playstyle will probably be a hit for players who like defending and controlling the game.
Valorant Vyse's Abilities
Vyse’s abilities are all about using liquid metal to trap enemies and make walls that help her team. Here’s a look at what she can do:
Razorvine (C):
- Vyse can throw a nest of liquid metal that looks like a pile of sharp vines. When it hits the ground, it goes invisible, kind of like Killjoy’s nanoswarm. Once someone triggers it, the Razorvine makes a metal field that slows down and hurts enemies who walk through it. Vyse can buy and use two Razorvines each round, which makes it really good for blocking areas.
Shear (Q):
- Shear is a wall trap that pops up when an enemy steps on a spot. When it goes off, a big wall comes up behind them, blocking their way. The wall can’t be destroyed and only stays for a short time before it goes away. It’s great for trapping enemies and breaking up teams.
Arc Rose (E):
- Arc Rose is Vyse’s main ability and it’s a flash for a Sentinel agent! She can place a rose on a wall or floor, and it goes invisible. When Vyse turns it on, the rose flashes any enemies looking at it. The cool part is that she can pick it up and use it again somewhere else, so you can be sneaky with it during the game.
Steel Garden (X) - Ultimate:
- Vyse’s ultimate move is Steel Garden. She throws metal vines at a spot, making a maze that traps enemies' main weapons. After a few seconds, the vines explode, forcing enemies to switch to their backup weapons. This can totally change the fight, especially when the other team is using their best guns.
How to Play Vyse in Valorant?
As a Sentinel, Vyse is all about controlling the map by setting traps, blocking paths, and making things tough for enemies. Her abilities are kinda like Cypher and Killjoy, but she’s got her own special way of messing up the enemy team’s plans.
You can use Razorvine to slow down enemies or Shear to trap them in tricky spots. Vyse is perfect for players who like to think ahead and surprise their opponents.
Rewards for Vyse in Valorant
Just like every agent in Valorant, Vyse comes with her own rewards that you can unlock by completing her contract.
Here’s a list of the rewards you can earn by progressing through her contract:
