Ubisoft is getting ready to release the Rainbow Six Siege Year 9 Season 3, with an update named Operation Twin Shells. This season will introduce a new operator, Skopos, who is from Greece. Skopos is a defender with some special skills and a cool backstory that will shake up the game. Skopos is not just any new operator. She has unique abilities that will change how players defend their positions.
In the R6 Y9S3 update, you’ll see her gadgets and how she plays will bring a fresh twist to the game. So, let's take a closer look at R6 Skopos, the Y9S3 operator, her gadgets, her weapons, and how she’s going to change the way you play in Rainbow Six Siege.
Rainbow Six Siege Skopos Gadget
Skopos, whose real name is Kure Galanos, is a well-known character for fans of the Tom Clancy games as she has been in older games like Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. Skopos used to be part of a top-notch tactical team but got seriously hurt during a mission where her teammate Deimos turned against them. She was left paralyzed from the waist down but has turned this challenge into her strength. Now, she uses advanced robotic shells to stay a strong defender in the game.
Rainbow Six Siege Skopos gadget is her two cool robots that are a big part of her abilities. These robots are called Talos and Colossus. They can switch between attacking and defending roles during a match. When one robot is active, it works like a normal Siege operator. The other robot, when inactive, turns into a bulletproof defensive shell with a camera that helps Skopos and her team gather important information.
This setup lets Skopos keep an eye on the battlefield and switch robots as needed, giving her great flexibility as a defender or roamer. But, if the active robot gets destroyed, Skopos is out of the match because she can't use the other robot.
Rainbow Six Siege Skopos Loadout
As a 2 Health, 2 Speed operator in Rainbow Six Y9S3, Skopos' loadout in Operation Twin Shells includes:
- Primary weapons: PCX-33 assault rifle
- Secondary weapon: P229 pistol
- Secondary gadget options: Proximity Alarms or Impact Grenades
- Primary Gadget: V10 Pantheon Shells
Skopos comes with a solid but simple loadout. Her main weapon is the new PCX-33 assault rifle, which packs a punch with a 31-round magazine. It’s great for both close and mid-range fights. For her sidearm, she has the P229 pistol.
When it comes to gadgets, Skopos can choose between Proximity Alarms or Impact Grenades. Proximity Alarms help her defend her position by alerting her to enemy movements near her inactive robot, while Impact Grenades can be used to create chaos and disrupt attackers as she moves around.
One of the cool things about Skopos’ gear is how well it works with her playstyle. For instance, her Proximity Alarms can spot enemies who get too close to her defensive robot, and her Impact Grenades can mess up enemies’ plans while she’s roaming. The two robots she controls also open up chances for setting traps or tricking enemies into making mistakes.
Rainbow Six Siege Skopos Gameplay
Skopos brings fresh strategies to defenders, but her success will rely on how well players use her special skills. Her robots aren’t indestructible as they can be destroyed by explosives or EMP devices. This means she’s at risk from operators like Thatcher, who can disable her electronics for a while. Operators like IQ can spot her robot switches, and Brava can hack one of her robots, forcing Skopos to switch before it gets destroyed.
Even with these counters, Skopos is great in situations where flexibility is key. When roaming, she can use her inactive robot to gather information and switch to it if enemies come too close. As an anchor, she can use the robot’s shield as a barricade or a “Mira window,” which gives her a clear view and protection from enemy fire. This flexibility makes her a strong pick, especially on larger maps where defenders need to cover many angles.
Skopos has some special interactions too with gadgets and operators in Rainbow Six Siege. Her robots are safe from Smoke’s toxic gas and Fenrir’s fear gas, so she can move through those dangerous areas without getting hurt. But, they can’t be healed by Doc or Thunderbird, and they don’t get Rook’s armor plates. Plus, EMPs and Dokkaebi’s hacking can still take out her robots, which means players need to be careful with their timing and positioning when using Skopos.
Overall, Skopos is set to shake things up in Rainbow Six Siege. Her two-robot setup adds a new layer of strategy, letting defenders outsmart attackers in clever ways. She’s going to make a big change in the game with Operation Twin Shells, which will release on the the Test Server on August 26.
