Genshin Impact 4.8 update has brought two new Nilou and Kirara skins, and the recent livestream revealed both their artworks and themes.

The much-anticipated Genshin Impact update 4.8 is set to release on July 17, 2024, and before its official release, a special program for version 4.8 was streamed today, revealing new details about the upcoming patch.
It has been confirmed in version 4.8 Livestream that this year's summer update for Genshin Impact is titled "Summertide Scales and Tales." And as is the tradition with the Summer season, this patch includes a time-limited map and story for players to explore. In addition, the update introduces new endgame content and skins with two new additions.

The two characters who are getting the new skins in this update are Nilou and Kirara, we have detailed all that we know about these new Genshin 4.8 skins below.
Genshin Impact Nilou Skin in Version 4.8: Breeze of Sabaa
Released way back on October 14, 2022, Nilou is a 5-star Hydro character who is loved for her design and character.
Nearly two years later, Nilou is getting her first skin, "Breeze of Sabaa." This skin features beautiful blue and purple themes, enhancing Nilou’s beauty and elegance by revealing more of her head and covering her abdomen.
How to Get Nilou’s Skin?
Given that Nilou has a five-star rarity, her skin will probably be added straight to Genshin Impact's in-game store. It will be discounted for the duration of Version 4.8, for a total of 1,350 Genesis Crystals, however, its price will probably rise to 1,680 Genesis Crystals by the end of Version 4.8.
But please note that these prices are speculative and may change before the official release.
Genshin Impact Kirara Skin in Version 4.8: Phantom in Boots
On May 24, 2023, Kirara, a 4-star Dendro character, was made available with the release of Version 3.7. Kirara is portrayed primarily as a Dendro support character, but she isn't a really strong character. She is notable for her ability to turn into a kitten and climb walls quickly.
Now Kirara is finally receiving her first skin, the Phantom in Boots after a year, which will be part of the main event "Summertide Scales and Tales" in version 4.8.
How to Get Kirara’s Skin?
During the event, players can earn Kirara’s new skin for free. After the event, the skin will be available in the store for Genesis Crystals.
To get the skin for free, collect Excerpts of Bliss, a limited-time currency in the world of Simulanka. And you can get Excerpts of Bliss by gathering Jubilant Feathers and opening Fairytale Troves.
Additionally, players can earn a free copy of Kirara during the 4.8 summer event by obtaining Starsail Coins from three mini-games:
- Boreal Flurry
- Flying Hatter’s Trick
- Metropole Trials
Insert Starsail Coins into Fantastical Fabricators, part of the Figurine Fabrication gameplay system, to get keepsake figurines. And using the Fantastical Fabricators enough times will grant a free copy of Kirara, which can either add her to your roster or provide a free constellation.
Through the Fantastical Fabricators, you can also acquire goodies like Primogems and Serenitea Pot Furnishings.
All in all, although Nilou's skin is exclusive to the shop, anyone can obtain Kirara's outfit for free by finishing the gathering of a specific resource located on the forthcoming time-limited map.
On July 17, 2024, when the Genshin 4.8 update launches, you'll have the opportunity to grab these brand-new Genshin 4.8 skins. Along with new and interesting features, Version 4.8 will also bring time-limited maps, stories, and permanent endgame features.
