What is the Esports World Cup Club Championship?
The Esports World Cup Club Championship is a special component of the Esports World Cup 2024 where esports clubs from around the world compete in a variety of games. Points are awarded based on their performances across these games, and the top clubs will share a portion of the $16 million USD prize pool.
This whole thing is part of the Esports World Cup Foundation's effort to get gaming groups to make teams that play different games. They announced the names of these groups on May 6th, and it includes big names like G2 Esports and FaZe Clan.
Esports World Cup 2024 Prize Pool
The Esports World Cup has revealed a staggering prize pool exceeding $60 million, a significant increase from the $45 million offered at ESWC 2023.

1. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
MLBB is integrating its official esports scene with the Esports World Cup. Two tournaments, the Mid-Season Cup (MSC) and the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI), will be held in Saudi Arabia. It is the first time they're outside Southeast Asia (SEA).
The MSC 2024 will run from June 28th to July 14th, featuring 23 teams competing for a $3 million prize pool. The MWI, an all-female esports event, will be held in Riyadh in August with a $500,000 prize pool.
2. Dota 2
The Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia announced that Dota 2 esports would be featured in their upcoming tournament, the Riyadh Masters.
The tournament is scheduled for July and will involve 20 teams competing for a portion of the $5 million prize pool. Teams can qualify through the ESL Pro Tour Leaderboard or regional qualifiers. Notable teams confirmed for the event include Team Liquid, Team Falcons, and BetBoom Team.
3. Counter-Strike 2
The Esports World Cup's Counter-Strike 2 event runs from July 17th to 21st, with 15 global teams competing for a $1 million prize. Organized by ESL and Esports World Cup Foundation, teams earned spots via invites and regional qualifiers. Winners of major tournaments, Team Spirit and Natus Vincere, got invites to Riyadh.
4. Honor of Kings
Honor of Kings is still expanding globally, but it's already a big deal at the Esports World Cup 2024.
In Riyadh, there'll be the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason, where 12 teams will battle for a piece of the $3 million prize pool. Moreover, thanks to the partnership between Level Infinite and the Esports World Cup Foundation, for the next three years, Honor of Kings will be a part of the competition.
5. Free Fire
Free Fire's Esports World 2024 event is part of its official global esports system. It's happening from July 10th-14th with 18 teams competing for a $1 million prize. Teams qualify through regional Free Fire World Series (FFWS) competitions. The winner also gets a spot in the FFWS Global Finals 2024.

Regarding PUBG's PC version, there hasn't been much news about its participation in the event.

8. Rainbow Six Siege

14. Tekken 8
Players can earn a spot in the Esports World Cup for Tekken through various tournaments, even though it's not part of the Tekken World Tour. Six players from EVO Japan will qualify. 17. Teamfight Tactics
Teamfight Tactics will be included in the Esports World Cup 2024, but the specific format, prize pool, and other details haven't been announced yet. Riot Games won't handle the event's production but will permit players to join, making it a third-party tournament.
18. StarCraft II
The Esports World Cup greatly impacted the Starcraft II esports scene. ESL recently announced that the tournament in Riyadh will serve as the 2024 SC2 Pro Tour Championship, the pinnacle event of the year.
