The upcoming Nintendo Direct 2024 is scheduled to happen this week, as confirmed by Nintendo. Wednesday, February 21 at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST is when the "Partner Showcase" will take place. The focus of this 25-minute presentation will be on third-party games scheduled for release in the first half of 2024. Viewers can expect a showcase of multiple teasers and in-game clips from these upcoming titles.

This announcement aligns with earlier speculations about Nintendo's customary February Nintendo Direct live stream, historically held for the past five consecutive years. Given the pattern of past February Directs and following recent showcases by Xbox and PlayStation, which provided glimpses and updates on games slated for release in the upcoming year, fans had anticipated this event.
A Partner Showcase, as part of Nintendo's digital presentations, concentrates on games from third-party companies. And anticipated titles for the Nintendo Direct 2024 include Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks, and there is hope for a reveal of the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 reboot.
The September 2023 edition of the Direct, which ran for over 40 minutes, unveiled titles such as Splatoon 3, Princess Peach Showtime, F-99, and more. So fans are expecting something similar in terms of the reveals during Direct 2024.

Notably, this announcement follows closely on the heels of news about Nintendo delaying the launch of the highly anticipated Switch 2. Moreover, the company's shares in Japan experienced a decline following reports suggesting that the successor to the Switch is now expected to be released in the first quarter of 2025, moving it from late 2024.
