The Genshin Impact 4.4 update, called "Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze," is set to release on January 31, 2024. The Special Program or the Genshin Impact 4.4 Livestream will be broadcast on January 19, 2024, at 7 am (UTC-5).

Expectations from Genshin Impact 4.4 Update
In the next Genshin Impact 4.4 update, we'll meet two new characters, Xianyun and Gaming. Formerly known as Cloud Retainer, Xianyun is a brand-new Anemo 5-star unit. She showed hints of her human form at the Lantern Rite Festival in 2023. Conversely, Gaming, another new character in version 4.4, is expected to be a 4-star unit and a catalyst user.
As for the banners, according to a recent leak from reliable dataminers, the Genshin 4.4 banner will have two new characters, Gaming, and Xianyun, in addition to three returning characters, Xiao, Nahida, and Yae Miko. According to the leaked data, Nahida and Yae Miko reruns will appear in the second half of the Genshin 4.4 banner, preceded by banners for Xiao and Xianyun in the first half.

Apart from characters, some quality-of-life improvements have also been mentioned, like a fast-equip feature for artifacts and the ability to create custom loadouts for characters.
The big event in the upcoming version will be the Lantern Rite festival in Liyue, coinciding with the Lunar New Year. Alongside this, a new sub-region called Chengdu Valley will be introduced, connecting Liyue to the sea in the northwest.
