Nvidia is set to introduce the Super versions of the GeForce RTX graphics cards, a step it skipped in the last generation. However, reports suggest a twist this time, with the new GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card potentially combining the ‘Ti’ and ‘Super’ branding, the "GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super".

While the notion of a ‘Super’ variant for the already-released GeForce RTX 4070 Ti might seem a bit puzzling, a recent leak provides evidence of the rumored GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super's existence. Images of the packaging for this updated graphics card were leaked by MEGAsizeGPU, a source with a reliable track record, lending credibility to the card's existence.
The leaked typographic styling on the packaging of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super may not be winning any design awards, but what about the technical specifications? Towards the end of October, there were comprehensive spec leaks for a trio of anticipated RTX 40 Super cards.

The leaked packaging of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super suggests that this card will feature Nvidia's AD103 GPU, equipped with 48 MB of L2 cache, 8448 CUDA Cores, and a 16 GB 256-bit GDDR6X memory subsystem. If this pans out, it could represent a significant upgrade from the current RTX 4070 Ti, potentially earning it a spot in our list of top graphics cards.
Nvidia is anticipated to maintain the power requirements for the Super variants, with a minor uptick for the GeForce RTX 4070 Super being the lone exception.
Although MEGAsizeGPU was the first to present these images, he was not overly enthusiastic about the revelations. Both the product naming scheme and the jumbled branding style are met with some criticism.
The Nvidia naming scheme, as described, does come across as quite long-winded when written out. The leaker remarked that it was hard to believe that such a convoluted product name could be real. Additionally, the anticipated logo, expected to be a standard for Nvidia partners, is described as "kinda ugly," according to the source.
We've heard that the official launch of the initial RTX 40 Super cards is just a few weeks away. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super should be revealed by CES 2024 in early January (roughly 9 weeks from now) and will hopefully hit retail shortly thereafter.
