The Harmony Path's Ruan Mei is a five-star Ice combat-type character in Honkai Star Rail, and her character kit makes her an excellent support character. She is quite superior to Bronya and certain other elite supports in the game, if not better. Like Jingliu and other units, she is an excellent buffer that may greatly increase your DPS.
Previous in-game artwork made reference to this member of the Genius Society, and soon after, details about her official splash artwork were leaked out. Now HSR Ruan Mei's signature light cone and its artwork have been described in detail in a more recent leak.
HSR Ruan Mei's Signature Light Cone Leak
"Past Self in Mirror" is the name of Ruan Mei's signature 5-star Light Cone as revealed by leaks. With the debut of the new region, Penacony, in version 1.6 or later, it is anticipated that this Light Cone will be introduced alongside the character.
There is now a fresh leak on Ruan Mei's signature Light Cone that reveals a unique effect that may be seen in the "Hakushin" leak database.

Characters from Harmony will receive a staggering 60% Break Effect boost when they use Ruan Mei's signature Light Cone. With the use of an Ultimate, the Light Cone has a potent interaction that increases all allies' damage by 25% and allows the user to recover a skill point if their Break Effect is more than 150%. It also provides a special advantage in multi-wave battles, regenerating 10 Energy for all allies at the start of a new wave.
The leaked information also highlights recent adjustments made to HSR Ruan Mei's light cone in the closed beta of version 1.6.
The updated effect of her signature Light Cone includes a 60% boost to the wearer's Break Effect. After using the ultimate ability, it amplifies all allies' damage by 24% for three turns. Additionally, if the wearer maintains a Break Effect at or above 150%, it regenerates one Skill Point. At the start of each turn, it restores ten Energy for every ally present in the battlefield. This effect doesn't stack.
Although these numbers are from Superimpose level one, this Light Cone's stats will rise with subsequent levels.

The Plum Fragrance In My Bones Ability: This ability regenerates Energy at the start of each wave for the wearer. It boosts the DMG output of the entire party after the host uses a Skill. Additionally, it increases All-Type PEN for allies, provided they have their SPD stat boosted. The effect lasts for three turns.
- Superimposition 1: Regenerates 10 Energy/All allies DMG output increases by 15 %/All-Type PEN increases by 6%.
- Superimposition 2: Regenerates 12 Energy/All allies DMG output increases by 17.5 %/All-Type PEN increases by 7%.
- Superimposition 3: Regenerates 15 Energy/All allies DMG output increases by 20 %/All-Type PEN increases by 8%.
- Superimposition 4: Regenerates 17 Energy/All allies DMG output increases by 22.5 %/All-Type PEN increases by 9%.
- Superimposition 5: Regenerates 20 Energy/All allies DMG output increases by 25 %/All-Type PEN increases by 10%.
Do take note that these details are based on leaks and are susceptible to alterations upon the final release. Ruan Mei's Light Cone appears to be a potent addition to the game, specifically tailored for Harmony characters and well-suited to complement her gameplay style. Early leaks hint at Ruan Mei's focus on the Weakness Break mechanic, emphasizing buffs to allies' Weakness Break efficiency and Speed. Her Ultimate is expected to reduce the Weakness Break resistance of enemies and inflict a slowing effect.
Well, Ruan Mei is expected to debut with the HSR 1.6 banner launch, likely arriving in late December. However, Ruan Mei won't be the sole new character introduced in Honkai: Star Rail's Version 1.6. Dr. Ratio, another five-star character, will join alongside Ruan Mei as an Imaginary Hunt character along with a long-rumored four-star unit named Xueyi, who was first seen in Dan Heng's story in Honkai: Star Rail's Xianzhou Luofu.

As a member of the Genius Society with the playable character Herta, Ruan Mei was first mentioned in-game dialogue. It is also claimed that Ruan Mei helped Herta create the Simulated Universe, with assistance from another highly anticipated forthcoming figure called Screwllum
