Sony is reportedly working on a Bloodborne movie, the adaptation of the famous soulslike game, with leaks suggesting that a producer and screenwriter have already been finalized for the project.

According to recent information, Sony Pictures is set to release a Bloodborne movie, with producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and writer Darren Lemke at the helm. This update comes from industry insider Daniel Richtman, a source with a mixed track record of accuracy.
Richtman provides a brief description of the movie, but it's rather generalized and doesn't offer any standout details. It mentions, "Sony project based on the PlayStation game of the same name. Bloodborne follows the player's character, a Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic, Victorian-era-inspired city of Yharnam, whose inhabitants are afflicted with a blood-borne disease that transforms the residents, called Yharnamites, into horrific beasts.
The insider further added, "Attempting to find the source of the plague, the player's character unravels the city's mysteries while fighting beasts and cosmic beings."
There's currently no word on a director for the project, which might indicate that Sony is still in the process of finalizing this key role. As for the confirmed names, Darren Lemke has some famous entities under his name like Shazam!, Gemini Man, The Wheel of Time, Shrek Forever After, The Parts You Lose, and Turbo. Meanwhile, Lorzeno Di Bonaventura has been working on numerous Transformer and G.I. Joe films since 2005, as well as video game adaptations like DOOM and Dead Rising.

Given that PlayStation hasn't made any significant moves with Bloodborne since its release in 2015, despite strong demand, it's somewhat surprising to hear about this movie adaptation. However, the source has a generally reliable track record.
Also, there is a buzz about Boodbrone 2 being in development as rumors suggest that a new PS5 exclusive game from FromSoftware is in development, however, there is no confirmation from FromSoftware or Sony till now.

It remains uncertain whether this Boodbrone movie adaptation will directly mirror the storyline of FromSoftware's game or explore events from the past or future.
