LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: Power Spike 23 |
Riot Games has unveiled the extensive plans for celebrating the third anniversary of League of Legends: Wild Rift across all platforms.
On October 24th, the game will embark on its global anniversary festivities, with the release of LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: Power Spike '23, introducing a host of new features including a tournament-style game mode, three additional champions, special events, skins, and more.
LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: Arena Tournament-Style Mode
One of the most anticipated additions is the Arena tournament-style game mode, making its debut in Wild Rift following a successful launch in League of Legends earlier this summer.
In this mode, four teams of two players each engage in rotating combat rounds, striving to emerge as the last team standing. Between rounds, teams can augment their abilities and purchase items to enhance their combat prowess, providing an exciting platform for honing individual skills and perfecting team strategies.
LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: New Champions
The LoL Wild Rift 4.4 patch introduces three formidable champions across different roles, each renowned for their high-damage output:
Fiddlesticks: Known as the Ancient Fear, Fiddlesticks is a nightmare-inducing mage and a master of the jungle. With the ability to drain the life force of nearby victims and summon a murder of killer crows, Fiddlesticks instills terror in the hearts of any unfortunate enough to cross its path.
Sivir: Hailing as a renowned fortune hunter and mercenary captain, Sivir, the Battle Mistress, is a skilled marksman from the sands of Shurima. Armed with her legendary jeweled crossblade, Sivir can decimate multiple enemies simultaneously, making her a formidable presence in team fights.
Zyra: As the Rise of Thorns, Zyra is a potent Dragon laner with the power to manipulate nature itself, utilizing vines to immobilize her opponents and showering deadly spines upon them. She excels at exerting control over large areas of the battlefield through her formidable plant summons.
New Wild Rift champions were teased in the beginning of the season. |
LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: Champion Reworks
Two veteran champions on the Rift have undergone substantial reworks in this LoL Wild Rift 4.4 patch:
Sona, the Maven of the Strings: Sona now possesses the ability to stun a target with her passive once fully stacked, offering additional utility alongside the attack's existing effects. Her ultimate has been modified to hit in a circular pattern and gradually move toward a designated position, providing a more dynamic impact.
Ziggs, the Hexplosives Expert: Ziggs can now more effectively target his ultimate ability and apply his passive to turrets, solidifying his role as a devastating force against both foes and objectives.

LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: Skins
With LoL Wild Rift 4.4 patch, Season 11 kicks off, offering players the chance to earn the coveted Glorious Admiral Ashe skin as they climb the ranks. The Wild Passes for this patch will feature two new skins: Psychic Detective Ekko and Ascended Psychic Detective Ekko.
LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: Events
To commemorate Wild Rift's third-year milestone, an anniversary-themed event will grant players a range of in-game rewards, including baubles, emotes, and more. Players are also encouraged to share their cherished moments and creations from over the years in the Power Spike Hub, potentially leading to an additional community reward during the anniversary celebration.
Moreover, a special collaboration with Coca-Cola will enhance the anniversary festivities. Starting October 25, players can participate in the Coca-Cola "Play As One" event, unlocking exclusive in-game content by completing daily missions. Additionally, Riot and Coca-Cola will host regional anniversary events in Brazil and another soon-to-be-announced location, providing dedicated Wild Rift players with opportunities to create new memories together.
LoL Wild Rift Patch 4.4: New Buffs and Upgrades
Along with new champions and reworks, players can now accessorize their champion with a pet companion on the Rift. These pets are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay mechanics.
Additionally, a new dragon buff has been introduced, obtainable after a team successfully defeats three consecutive dragons, offering a unique advantage based on the type of dragon initially slain.
In League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 4.4, significant changes have been made to mages too. These adjustments aim to enhance the responsiveness of spell casting, along with tweaks to base stats, enabling mages to cast more spells and endure better in lane. Moreover, two new mage-specific items have been introduced: Oceanid's Trident, focused on breaking down enemy defenses, and Crown of the Shattered Queen, providing a potent shield that can sway battles.
As the countdown to the global LoL Wild Rift anniversary celebration begins, players can anticipate an exhilarating array of new features and content, ensuring that the third year of League of Legends: Wild Rift is marked by exciting gameplay and memorable experiences.
