League of Legends fans are in for a treat as Riot Games has just rolled out a thrilling new skin that's tailor-made for mid-lane devotees. This latest addition, Breakout True Damage Ekko, is part of the HEARTSTEEL skinline, and it promises to stand out from the crowd. However, it's also poised to ignite some heated discussions within the player community.

In a bid to celebrate the annual World Championship 2023 in style, Riot Games is not only unveiling the new HEARTSTEEL skins on the Rift but also introducing a new Mythic Variant. This time, the spotlight is on Breakout True Damage Ekko, a character who previously took the stage just a few years ago.
It's worth noting that this marks the second Mythic Variant to grace the League of Legends universe, following the controversial debut of Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin a few months back.

Riot 100 pc nuggets, the product lead for the skins team, acknowledged in a recent developer post that the initial launch of Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin had fallen short of player expectations. Critics argued that it didn't offer enough differentiation from the base skin to justify its Mythic status. In response to this feedback, the development team has poured more time and effort into crafting Breakout True Damage Ekko.

This Mythic Variant boasts a host of improvements, including revamped visual effects with striking dark blue and golden accents. Changes have also been made to certain elements of Ekko's recall and sound effects, aligning with the skin's new hip-hop and piano-themed aesthetic.
Talking about the upgrades in LoL Breakout True Damage Ekko Splash art, the developers stated, "Breakout True Damage Ekko now features a hip-hop piano theme with visual and audio enhancements. Changes include an animated music visualizer on his weapon, model and VFX recoloring, altered VFX elements for his Q and W, and a recall with piano key stairs. Additionally, SFX changes were made to incorporate a hip-hop melody into his existing W music. It's noted that there is no fixed blueprint for future Mythic Variant skins, so each may have a unique set of changes."
LoL Breakout True Damage Ekko Skin Release Date
While an exact release date for LoL Breakout True Damage Ekko has not yet been unveiled, players can anticipate its arrival on the PBE (Public Beta Environment) in the coming days. The official servers are expected to welcome the skin alongside the HEARTSTEEL lineup with Patch 13.22, set to launch on November 8.
The event capsules come with new and interesting bonus items that you won't want to miss. These rewards are based on the number of capsules bought, and they include the coveted Mythic Essence. In addition, music grab bags will appear as you open specific quantities of capsules, featuring skins inspired by League's diverse array of musical groups.
How to get LoL Breakout True Damage Ekko skin?
The concept of Mythic Variants is Riot's endeavor to provide a "deeper thematic lens" for existing Legendary skins. However, obtaining these prestigious cosmetics is no simple feat. They won't be available for direct purchase, and you won't stumble upon them while rerolling skin shards or opening various loot containers. Instead, players must rely on the luck of the draw.
You can only acquire the True Damage skin by unlocking a particular event capsule. Even if there is a tiny chance to obtain the skin right away, you will undoubtedly receive the legendary skin by opening 30 capsules.
It would cost you $200 if you were to open the capsule thirty times, however, for skin to cost this much, it is not recommended to waste such a huge amount of money.
LoL Breakout True Damage Capsule and Milestone
In response to player feedback, developers are reintroducing Mythic Essence to the milestones for the next Mythic Variant showcase. This change addresses the needs of players who want more Mythic Essence between events without completing a showcase track. Milestone rewards have been adjusted, adding 50 Mythic Essence and removing a random 1350 skin permanent. This aims to balance value across the entire reward track.
The revised milestone rewards for Breakout True Damage Capsule include:
- First Capsule: Exclusive Icon
- 3 Capsules: Exclusive Emote, 5 Mythic Essence
- 5 Capsules: Random 1350 Music skin, 5 Mythic Essence
- 10 Capsules: Random 1350 Music skin, 5 Mythic Essence
- 15 Capsules: Random 1350 Music skin, 15 Mythic Essence
- 20 Capsules: Random 1350 Music skin, 1 Music Grab Bag, 20 Mythic Essence
- 25 Capsules: 2 Music Grab Bags
- 30 Capsules: Breakout True Damage Ekko Mythic Variant
