League of Legends 13.18 patch will be a smaller patch in terms of champion and system buffs and nerfs, however, will introduce a new champion, Briar.
League of Legends 13.18 patch notes |
Riot Games is diligently preparing for the Worlds 2023 patch to ensure game balance in the competitive environment. League of Legends 13.18 patch, the penultimate update before the Worlds patch, will focus on fine-tuning, including the introduction of the new champion, Briar.
League of Legends 13.18 Patch Notes
This League of Legends 13.18 patch revolves around adjustments aimed at shaping the pro-play metagame. While the development team is generally content with the current state of the game, they acknowledge the need for some "small adjustments." In particular, they aim to rein in overpowering picks such as Kayn, Jarvan IV, and Tryndamere, which requires nerfs for these formidable fighters on Summoner's Rift. Additionally, Riot is keen to fine-tune the AD carry metagame, with a focus on items like Stormrazor and Statikk Shiv.
However, it's not solely pro-play-centric. This update cycle will also introduce a brand-new character, Briar the Restrained Hunter.
While the League of Legends 13.18 patch is relatively modest in terms of changes, except for the Briar release, Riot Phroxzon has expressed satisfaction with the current meta and the previous patch's results.

* Naafiri landed well
* Jarvan benefited from Shojin & Gore (we knew he would, but not how much)
* Blue Kayn moved, but Red was neutral from Gore
* Trynd moved a lot, even with pre-emptive nerfs, we're pulling back a bit
So, follow up nerfs on J4, Red Kayn, Trynd pic.twitter.com/BUnrVEWEbG
