HSR Topaz banner release date

Regarding the release date of the HSR Topaz banner, the leaks suggest it will launch in the second half of Honkai Star Rail version 1.4, expected around November 2nd, 2023.

Additionally, a popular Honkai: Star Rail leaker named Dimbreath has hinted that version 1.4 will feature a re-run of the popular character Seele. She hails from the city of Belobog and is a member of Wildfire, offering an intriguing addition to the game.

With both Jingliu and Topaz receiving official character cards in August and leaks hinting at Seele rerun, players are eagerly anticipating Topaz banner's imminent arrival in the game.

HSR Topaz Abilities

Here are the leaked details of Topaz's abilities, although it's essential to note that none of this information has received official confirmation from Hoyoverse yet:

Basic Attack - Deficit: Deals Fire DMG equal to a percentage of Topaz’s ATK to a single enemy target.
Skill: Summons her special pet Warp Trotter to deal Fire DMG to a single enemy, inflicting burn status. Burn status causes fire damage at the start of each round.
Warp Trotter Skill: Select an enemy to perform a special attack.
Ultimate - Turn a Profit: Enhances the summoned Warp Trotter, increasing its Critical Rate for the next two attacks, dealing additional Fire DMG, and boosting its speed for two rounds.
Talent - Pig Market: At the battle's start, summons her pet with 90 speed. When Topaz uses a skill on an enemy, the creature targets that enemy (if possible) or a random one, dealing Fire DMG and recovering 15 energy if the target is Burned.
Technique - Explicit Subsidy: When Topaz enters battle, Numby follows suit. Numby automatically locates Basic Treasures and Warp Trotters within a certain range. Using the Technique allows Topaz to recover energy after Numby’s first attack.

HSR Topaz Traces

Topaz's Traces offer interesting synergies:

Bank Overdraft: Topaz and Zhang Zhang deal more damage to enemies with Fire Weakness.
Financial Turmoil: When targets with Attack Mark receive a follow-up attack, Zhang Zhang's turn is brought forward. This effect triggers once per attack at most.
Technical Adjustment: When Zhang Zhang attacks under Astonishing Increase, Topaz recovers additional energy.

Additionally, Topaz has her own Eidolons with unique abilities at different levels, enhancing her capabilities in battle.

E1: Incentive Mechanism: After using her Ultimate, Zhang Zhang enters the [Astonishing Increase] state and gains an additional attack.
E2: Steady Growth: When an enemy target under the effect of [Attack Mark] receives a follow-up attack, the effects of [Attack Mark] are strengthened. Follow-up attacks against enemies with Strengthened [Attack Mark] have an increased Crit DMG of ?%. This effect can stack a maximum of ? times.
E3: Catch Big, Release Small: Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15; Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
E4: Agile Processing: When Zhang Zhang's own turn begins, Topaz's actions are brought forward by ?%.
E5: Need for Inflation: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15; Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of 15.
E6: Friendly Takeover: When Zhang Zhang is under the [Astonishing Increase] state, its Fire RES PEN increases by ?%. Under this state, when Topaz uses her skill and Zhang Zhang attacks, there is a ?% base chance to return the skill points.

HSR Topaz Gameplay

Along with other details, Topaz's gameplay has also been teased in a recent leak. The gameplay footage showcases this unique 5-star character along with her loyal companion, Numby. What sets them apart is that they function as a single playable unit, a rarity in gacha-based games.

Fans speculate that Topaz will serve as the go-to support for the 5-star Fire user Clara. Her kit, aligned with The Hunt path, promises significant single-target DPS potential, a valuable asset when facing elite foes.

Topaz has a completely different playstyle than other Hunt characters like Dan Heng, Seele, or Sushang because she can call in summons for assistance. This is the first character with a summoner playstyle that we have seen in Honkai Star Rail. Topaz travels the Path of the Hunt and summons Trotters to assist you in battle.

HSR Topaz Light Cone

Topaz has been featured on the Trend of the Universal Market light cone, which is a 4-star preservation path weapon.

Its skill is A New Round of Shuffling: Increases the wearer's DEF by 16~32%. When the wearer is attacked, there is a 100~120% base chance to Burn the enemy. For each turn, the wearer deals DoT that is equal to 40~80% of the wearer's DEF for 2 turn(s).

However, it is to be noted that Topaz has been revealed to be a Hunt character, whereas this is a Preservation Path Light Cone. With her formal release, this might alter, but it is very probable that Topaz will have a dedicated five-star Light Cone.
