The Portrait mode on the iPhone 15 has been elevated. Apple asserts that its synthetic bokeh portrait shots deliver superior low-light performance than ever before. Furthermore, Portrait mode will now be automatically activated when capturing a subject in the main camera mode.
Post-capture, you can adjust the focus, as Apple retains the depth map alongside the image data to achieve a natural blur effect.
