The anticipation is building as Rainbow Six Siege's Year 8 Season 3, named Operation Heavy Mettle, approaches its launch. Ubisoft has initiated the tempting process of teasing the community with the upcoming content for this season, which prominently features the new operator, Rainbow Six Ram.
As fans of the game might recall from the roadmap shared back in February, R6 Ram hails from Korea, and this detail has now been confirmed. This new operator, Ram, is arriving on the battlefield armed with her formidable BU-GI drone.

The initial reaction from a significant portion of the fan base has been highly positive regarding the reveal of the Rainbow Six Ram operator. A fan stated, "You can't convince me that this isn't the most awesome operator Siege has ever introduced. Just look at her!" Another enthusiastic comment noted, "Azami's style is undoubtedly a cut above, but Ram brings some serious coolness."
Analyzing the visuals of the R6 Ram operator, another fan chimed in with excitement, saying, "This operator design is the best we've seen in years, absolutely mind-blowing."
Rainbow Six Siege Ram Gadget
The teaser also provided a sneak peek into Ram's primary gadget, aptly named the 'BU-GI' drone. The teaser showcased this fierce-looking device, evidently capable of demolishing soft floors and barricades in its path. The gadget serves as a valuable tool to create new lines of sight from elevated positions, facilitating vertical strategies for the attacking team.
Although it won't render operators like Sledge or Buck obsolete, it offers players an additional avenue for swiftly and automatically breaching floors (or at least that's the speculation). This innovation is expected to be a boon for newer players aiming to enhance their vertical gameplay.
Given the evolving nature of Siege's meta, which has seen a shift toward more run-and-gun dynamics, particularly in Ranked matches, this gadget seems like a well-thought-out addition.
The device itself appears to be some kind of remotely operated or autonomous mini-tank, outfitted with sawblades at the front to effectively dismantle barriers. The nationality of the operator is explicitly indicated by the Korean text on the tank's side, which translates to "weapon."
As of now, detailed information regarding the abilities, loadout, and gameplay of the upcoming Rainbow Six Ram operator remains scarce. However, fans won't have to wait too long for the full reveal, as it's scheduled to take place during the weekend.
