Apex Legends Season 17 Arsenal battle pass will be released soon, and we already have details on the new agent Ballistic, World’s Edge upgrade, Ranked updates, and much more.
Apex Legends Season 17 Arsenal |
Since we are at the end of the 16th season of Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment has revealed that the next season will be named “Arsenal,” in keeping with the tradition of naming each season with a unique name.
In Season 17, we will get to experience a new Agent called Ballistic, an updated World’s Edge map, new Ranked updates, a new Season Battle Pass, and a lot of other stuff.
The World's Edge Apex Legends map will undergo adjustments in Apex Legends Season 17, in addition to a new legend named Ballistic. The "evolved" firing range and new weapon mastery challenges will make practice much more rewarding.
Respawn also states that "changes are coming to ranked" but does not specify what these changes may be. A new battle pass called Arsenal will also be available for you to complete during season 17.
Respawn Entertainment decided to give each new season of the game its own name starting with Season 9. And this season will be called “Arsenal,” it may have to do something with the stellar weaponry and guns. Ballistic abilities also reflect this name.

Apex Legends Season 17 Arsenal
An official trailer was put out recently on YouTube, which revealed features of the upcoming season 17 of Apex Legends. The trailer was 4.41 minutes long and we get to see the new agent Ballistic’s abilities up close and near, and also the updated World’s Edge map in its sheer brilliance.
Respawn adds that August Montgomery Brinkman, who went by the name Ballistic, used to be the best contestant in the Thunderdome Games. But after the unfortunate death of his brother-in-law, Ballistic took retirement and went into seclusion.
He remained in hiding for 40 years until an unexpected incident forced him to come out and make the Syndicate an offer it could not refuse.
At around 2:50 in the video, Ballistic demonstrates one of his most distinctive skills when he fires a shot that electrifies the enemy soldier and causes their weapon to overheat, rendering it impossible for them to fire back at the 63-year-old gunfighter.
Respawn has revealed that Ballistic is an assault-class legend from the planet Gaea. However, it is yet unknown how this translates into Ballistic's abilities.

Apex Legends Season 17 - New Legend Ballistic
As we’ve discussed, Catalyst will be replaced by Ballistic in season 17 of Apex Legends.
Now even though Ballistic was just hinted at by Respawn in the most recent Stories From The Outlands, not much information about him was made public. However, Ballistic will be a Refined Gunslinger from Gaea in Apex Legends, according to revelations from ThordanSmash.
Apex Legends Ballistic - Season 17 Legend revealed |
We also have a few leaks on Ballistic abilities, however, do note that these are not official.
- Weapon Sling (Passive Ability): A sling where you can store a third weapon. Access via inventory. The sling weapon cannot take attachments.
- Smart Bullet (Tactical Ability): Shoots a projectile that debuffs the enemy. Enemies’ guns will start [to] heat up as they shoot. Overheating will cause a reaction and deal damage. Holding the Tactical will allow it to lock on to a target.
- Weapon Enhancer (Ultimate Ability): When activated nearby, teammates get a buff applied. It gives faster reloads, unarmed move speed and Infinite Ammo. Ballistic’s sling weapon will be equipped and upgraded to gold.
Given the Smart Pistol weapon featured in the Respawn leak, the tactical seems to make sense.
