Star Wars Jedi: Survivor release date
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was revealed to be coming out on March 17, 2023, during The Game Awards 2022. However, the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor release date has now been delayed by EA until April 28, 2023.
Game director Stig Asmussen explained the reason for the delay: "To hit the Respawn quality bar, provide the team with the time they need, and achieve the degree of polish our fans demand, we have extended six vital weeks to our release timetable.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor platform
PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X are Star Wars Jedi: Survivor platforms. The console marketplaces for the game, as well as Steam, the Epic Games Store, and EA's Origin shop, all offer it online.
This sequel won't be compatible with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, unlike the original game in the series, therefore those platforms are not supported. The production team's goals to produce work “at a fidelity that’s much above anything [they’ve] ever developed before,” according to game director Stig Asmussen, are the cause of this pivot.

The most recent trailer of Star Wars Jedi Survivor revealed the following about the game:
Continue Cal’s Journey – No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight. Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in - with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.
Go Beyond Your Training – The cinematic combat system returns with additional Force abilities and new lightsaber fighting styles. Creatively leverage all these skills to strategically take on an expanded host of enemies, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path.
Explore an Untamed Galaxy – Discover new planets and familiar frontiers in the Star Wars galaxy, each with unique biomes, challenges, and enemies. Master new skills, equipment, and abilities that will augment the ways you explore, fight, and roam. With larger areas to explore and more to discover off the beaten path, players who adventure beyond the horizon will find hidden rewards.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players can anticipate the same gameplay cycles that made Fallen Order a critical success. Players should expect exploration and collection tasks, environmental puzzle-solving to advance the plot, and melee combat demonstrating all of a Jedi's abilities with a lightsaber and the Force. There are also plenty of personalization choices.
The addition of five additional combat stances is one such way the main gameplay loop is being expanded. To take advantage of any given circumstance, players will need to quickly switch between stances as they respond to different enemy kinds and fighting environments.
For instance, one choice is to charge in brandishing two lightsabers, which is a wonderful choice for close-quarters combat. A different strategy involves Cal holding a blaster in one hand and a lightsaber in the other.
Stig Asmussen of Respawn Entertainment discussed the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay and said that it “will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. To survive, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force.”
In Jedi: Survivor, Cal will have additional Force powers such as a more potent Force push, the capacity to halt blaster fire in midair, and the capacity to hold the opponent and make them fight for you. Combat will also be enhanced by the addition of Kestis's blaster (as the pre-order goodies confirm). Moreover, Asmussen claims in the most recent issue of Play magazine that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would provide rapid transit as well as mounts that may be ridden by players.
With Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay, players will get the following five fighting stances:
- Single Lightsaber
- Double-sided Lightsaber
- Dual Lightsabers
- Cross Guard Lightsaber
- Single Lightsaber and Blaster

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Storyline
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor story picks up five years after the events of the first game, as "Cal Must stay one step ahead of the Empire's constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy," said Stig Asmussen when discussing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Storyline.
Five years after the events of the 2005 movie Revenge of the Sith, Cal Kestis, a former Jedi Padawan, tells his story in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Kestis is attempting to keep his past and Force skills hidden from the Imperial Inquisition, which is still on the prowl for any remaining Jedi from Palpatine's Order 66. Kestis' journey brings him to a variety of worlds, introduces new characters, and also includes characters from past Star Wars stories.

The Grand Inquisitor, who seems to be pursuing Cal Kestis in the trailer, is a familiar enemy to viewers of the Obi-Wan Kenobi television series. Cal is joined by Cere, Greez, and Nightsister Merrin aboard the Mantis, so it's bound to be good to see familiar faces again.
However, Bode Akuna has been confirmed as a new AI companion, thus it appears a completely new character will also join the trip and even assist in fight scenes.
Now that we know what to expect from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in terms of storyline and gameplay, the excitement to explore the game is increasing even more.
