On April 11, 2023, Overwatch 2 Season 4 will launch across all platforms at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET. And Blizzard reveals what players can anticipate for the upcoming season in terms of new skins, gameplay modes, and in-game challenges, in the recent launch trailer.

How to unlock Lifeweaver in OW2 Season 4 battle pass?
Overwatch 2 Season 4 will contain a new hero named Lifeweaver as part of the battle pass. While other players must wait until they achieve level 45 in the battle pass, players who purchased the premium season 4 battle pass will be able to access him right away.
What are the OW2 Season 4 battle pass cosmetics?
The Overwatch 2 Season 4 battle pass will have new cosmetics for characters:
- Hanzo
- Lifeweaver
- Sigma
Sigma will also get this season's Mythic-tier skin. The Mythic skin transforms the character into the head of a potent intergalactic faction by giving him an elaborate and embellished suit of sci-fi armor.
According to what was shown in the trailer, players will be able to choose from a variety of different designs for the Hypersphere weaponry, helmet, and armor of the skin, as well as the colors grey/gold/purple, white/light grey/turquoise, and tan/black/red.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Events
The OW2 Season 4 events 4 were also shown off in the teaser, several of which offered rewards for participating players. They consist of the following:
- B.O.B. and Weave: Players can participate in the B.O.B. and Weave event by participating in a special game mode that combines the two Lifeweaver and B.O.B. characters. We don't yet have any additional information.
- Starwatch: Starwatch is a PvP event that pits the Watchers and the Infinite Empire against one another as they compete to accomplish various goals on a modified version of Horizon Lunar Colony. Moreover, the event comes with a fresh comic and will be available from May 9 to May 22.
- Celebrate Pride: Lastly, we have an event that celebrates Pride Month, and it appears that flags will start to fly in Overwatch 2 on June 1.
- Talantis map: "Twitch Makes Overwatch," the underwater Talon base map, which fans helped the developers create live stream last year, is now playable from 25 April through 1 May and called the Talantis map.

OW2 Lifeweaver Official Reveal
Ramattra, a Tank hero, was introduced in Overwatch 2 Season 2, and Lifeweaver is currently joining the cast for Season 4. Moreover, Blizzard has officially introduced the new Support hero, OW2 Lifeweaver's abilities.
OW2 Lifeweaver abilities
- Passive – Parting Gift
On death, your body will drop gifts that heal the first person to pick it up. Both ally and enemy can pick up the ability.
- Petal Platform
Petal Platform throws down a platform that immediately springs up into the air when it is stepped on by a person. It can be activated by either an ally or an enemy and will be activated when put under a person. You can also jump at the zenith of the rise to get some extra air.
- Rejuvenating Dash
Rejuvenating Dash allows you to dash toward your traveling direction and lightly heals you.
- Life Grip
Life Grip pulls an ally towards your location, encasing them in a protective bubble as they travel to your location.
- Ultimate – Tree of Life
Tree of Life places down a tree that instantly heals allies in its radius upon sprouting. It continuously provides healing periodically as it lives.
OW2 Lifeweaver Weapons
Like Mercy, Lifeweaver may rotate between two of his weapons. Most of his healing comes from his primary, while most of his damage comes from his secondary.
- Primary – Healing Blossom
Similar to Kiriko’s Ofuda, Healing Blossom is a homing ability that automatically goes toward the ally you are aiming at. It heals in bursts rather than a steady stream like Kiriko, so be wary when pocket-healing an ally.
- Secondary – Thorn Volley
Lifeweaver’s main damaging ability works similarly to Zenyatta’s, which fires projectiles onto enemies at a rapid pace. To use it, you will need to switch weapons.
Blizzard has revealed Lifeweaver's skills as well as some intriguing information regarding the character's past. Niran PruksaManee, also known as Lifeweaver, was born in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In terms of ties to current Overwatch 2 characters, Lifeweaver worked at the Vishkar Corporation with Symmetra but ultimately left the organization to travel.
Like the majority of his peers in the class, Lifeweaver is very killable as a support. Also, because it might be challenging to deal damage while healing your team, he should mostly be used as a main healer. When you require additional defense, though, use Thorn Volley like how you would use Mercy!

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Release Date

It seems like, with Overwatch 2, which debuted in October and featured Kiriko, Blizzard is obviously trying to expand the Support class.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Map
Overwatch 2 Season 4 will solely feature a new hero as opposed to the new map that was introduced in the previous season.
While Overwatch 2 Season 4 is introducing a tonne of new content, it is also getting rid of map pools, a less-used feature.
In a blog post published on the Blizzard website on February 3, 2023, Keller stated: “Map Pools are going away starting in Season 4. We aimed to provide a bit of freshness each season and concentrate the number of maps that people were playing, however player sentiment around map pools was pretty low, the map roster doesn’t have enough maps where we truly need them, and the impact they had on seasonal identity was fairly low.”
The team is investigating potential modifications to current maps in order to address some recurring problems during games, the Director has further revealed. Keller continued by stating that if the number of maps grows too huge, map pools may return in the future, although they would likely refresh weekly rather than annually.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Battle Pass
In Overwatch 2, a brand-new Battle Pass always coincides with the start of a new season. What the future topic of Overwatch 2 Season 4 Battle Pass will be at this point is unknown.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 could potentially go any direction as Seasons 1, 2, and 3 already employed a cyberpunk aesthetic and a religious theme, respectively.
Whatever the case, the launch of season 4 will undoubtedly bring a refresh of new skins, emotes, and voice lines galore to the Overwatch 2 Season 4 battle pass.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 Ranked system and Competitive mode
The apparent lack of penalties for players quitting Ranked games early is one area in OW2 that we anticipate receiving a significant change. "We're considering making ranked penalties partially carry over from season to season and we'd like to make sure that abandoning games is never optimum for progressing challenges regardless of whether you're ranked or unranked," a systems designer at Blizzard said in response to the question.
Moreover, Overwatch 2 Competitive mode has been a persistent source of controversy since the game was introduced, which is another issue that has dogged Overwatch 2. The developers have said that adjustments to skill rating Tiers will be changed to reflect your ranking based on more current results.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Reworks
Players may also get to see some intriguing reworks in OW2 Season 4 in addition to all the new content.
Brigitte rework and Sombra rework are two of the Overwatch 2 Season 4 Reworks.
Sombra's planned redesign may not be finished until Season 4 at the earliest, according to Lead Hero Designer @GW Alec in January 2023. They hope to reveal more information shortly. "Some Sombra changes are coming to Overwatch2, but not in Season 3," they stated.
Furthermore, on a Twitch Livestream, Dawson hinted at Brigitte's rework during Season 4 and added that it was doubtful we would see these changes in Season 3 "since these things do take some time," in part because recreating a character involves a lot of VFX and aesthetic considerations.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 skins
Aaron Keller, the director of Overwatch 2, has previously hinted at a new Overwatch 2 Season 4 skin that he believes "the community is going to go crazy about." We'll have to wait and see if this suggests a different route for the next Mythic skin or something completely new.
Moreover, prior to this year, the long-promised PvE mode was mentioned in the Overwatch 2 roadmap for 2023 along with new skins, battle passes, and modes. This does not imply that all of these will be present in every season.
