If you are into video game tournaments, then you’d have heard of Team SoloMid (TSM), a professional esports organization based in the US. This organization fields players in a variety of games, some of them being Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends, Apex Legends, etc.
Current data shows us that TSM has not been living up to its name in the recent Apex Legends tournaments. These guys were at the top of the list, but recently, none of their players have made it to even the top 5 placements.
The case is that a few days ago, ImperialHal, a prominent name in TSM, had been going on about quitting the organization or leaving the Apex Legends competitions. Joining some other team was also an option in ImperialHal’s mind as he is “just so tired of losing.” But it seems TSM has other plans stored up for the future.

Verhulst to leave TSM
Let’s backtrack to the beginning of this little drama. Snip3down, a former player of TSM, had left TSM to compete in HALO. In his place came Verhulst. Snip3down’s position was that of the controller player. Verhulst was sort of a superstar in the industry circles even before he joined TSM. From the look of it, the team TSM was a deadly combo, with Verhulst as the fragger and ImperialHal as the IGL.
But the story doesn’t end there. Apparently, even the combined expertise of Verhulst and Hal was not enough to keep TSM from its catastrophic path. Everyone was so expectant of the trio of Verhulst, Hal, and Reps, but the reality turned out to be like one of those “Expectations vs reality” videos on YouTube.
Therefore, TSM has had to take desperate measures. It was obvious that there was to be a very necessary change. And it seems that this change is to take place starting with Verhulst. ImperialHal has talked about this scene and Verhulst’s future with TSM in a recent stream.
And here’s the bonkers part of it all. It is claimed that Verhulst was sold to Pioneers 1 for a grand total of $1,000,000. That’s a million bucks, folks! And it seems that this coveted young guy will team up with Gnaske and Sirdel and compete in a LAN tournament under Pioneers. Hal wasn’t joking after all.

But who is to fill the spot left empty by Verhulst at TSM? That answer has been provided by ImperialHal again, who talked about TSM picking SweetDreams for their Apex roster. SweetDreams is a guy playing as an IGL currently under the NRG banner. And this guy’s stats are something else. He is said to be one of the best players in the world.
So the scene is something like this. If SweetDreams does join TSM, ImperialHal could be replaced by him as an IGL. This would provide him an opportunity to improve upon his individual performance. But these are just words. Let’s wait and see how this entire drama unfolds.
