Need for Speed has been around for more than 30 years at this point. NFS has evolved throughout the years across several platform generations and a variety of identities and genres. The most recent game, Heat, was a reminiscence of the game's glory years in the early and mid-2000s.
Heat may have been a step in the right direction, even though it didn't quite reach the heights of blockbusters like Most Wanted. However, there is cause for optimism given that a new Need for Speed game, Need for Speed Unbound, is under development. The next Need for Speed Unbound game will mark the series' introduction for the Xbox One X and PlayStation 5.
Additionally, Electronic Arts have released the first Need for Speed Unbound trailer, confirming the game's release date along with its platforms, editions, price tags, features, vehicles, maps, and more.
Not only this, but a merchant also advertised Need for Speed Unbound game early and published some screenshots, giving some unannounced information about the eagerly anticipated game.

Need for Speed Unbound release date
Since the game's release date is getting closer, there has been a lot of Need for Speed leaks. On the other hand, EA planned to make a statement about the next game, including a trailer, on Thursday, October 6 at 11 a.m. EDT.
The release date for Need for Speed Unbound was predicted in a leak from September, and the leak was accurate. The Need for Speed Unbound release date has been set for December 2.
Customers who pre-order the game, however, will be able to start playing on November 29, three days sooner. Moreover, the game's platforms were also discussed in the reveal video.
Need for Speed Unbound platforms
There was a leak earlier today that specifically claimed that Need for Speed Unbound will debut on the PS5, with no mention of the PS4 or Xbox series. Many people, therefore, assumed that the game might be a PS5 exclusivity.
However, EA has since revealed that the game would debut the series' first 4K resolution at 60 frames per second on December 2, 2022, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Origin, Steam, and Epic Game Store.

Need for Speed Unbound editions and price
According to EA, the standard version of Need for Speed Unbound will cost $69.99, while the Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition will cost $79.99.
When they first join multiplayer, players who pre-order the game will receive a driving effects pack, decals, a license plate, banner art, stickers, and a $150,000 bank in their wallet as exclusive bonuses.
Additionally, gamers will have access to exclusive material in the Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition, which was developed in collaboration with Palace Skateboards and features bespoke cars, a clothing pack, driving effects, decals, license plates, character poses, and banner artwork.
Apart from the above-mentioned, the official site of NFS Unbound has also shared a small overview of the Need for Speed Unbound's vehicles, maps, and features.

Need for Speed Unbound map
The new location for NFS Unbound players is Lakeshore. The world of Lakeshore is revealed to players when two friends are torn apart by a heist at a family auto shop and sends a novice racer on a quest to win the ultimate street race and recover the valuable automobile that was taken from them, according to EA.
As announced, players are gonna need to be familiar with the city before making a name for themselves as street racers. Here are a few places on the NFS Unbound Lakeshore:
- Rydell's Rydes
Everyone's gotta start somewhere. Rydell's Rydes will be your first safehouse, allowing you to fix up your rides, stash your cash, and duck from the cops while your Heat dies down.
- Storm Drain, Cyrill Heights
You're not supposed to be here, but you are. Pull up to your first Meetup at the Storm Drain and challenge the best of Lakeshore's underground street racing community.
- City Pier, Underwood Gardens
Get noticed under the lights. Flaunt your unique style amongst the freshest street art and illuminations as you disrupt the fun of the fairground with some unruly driving.
- Rudiger's Safehouse, Yams Park
Need to lay low when your Heat's high? Safehouses are all across Lakeshore, and Rudiger's safehouse is the place to chill whilst cops are on your tail around Yams Park.
- Car Plant, Kennedy Test Track
Push your custom to the limit with twisting corners, a slick courtyard for drifting, and jumps to test the wings on your ride. The Kennedy Test Track has it all.
- Quarry Domes, Lakeshore Quarry
It's easy to get caught up in the urban jungle. Head out to the quarry, get your rims muddy, and fill the domes with layers of stylized tire smoke.
- L-Train, City
See the city from a new perspective. The L-Train's track runs through the heart of the city and Lakeshore's most disruptive drivers aren't known for buying a ticket.
- Mountain Road, Kennedy Drive
Lakeshore's a city that demands attention. Head up to the mountains, pull some drifts, and hear that engine roar as the city skyline provides the perfect backdrop.

Need for Speed Unbound features
As stated by EA, the Need for Speed Unbound teaser, which stars ASAP Rocky, was released today, but earlier than the scheduled time of Thursday at 8 a.m. PT, 11 a.m. ET, and 4 p.m. BST. The video included a link to the Need for Speed Unbound page on EA's website which revealed the following:

The more you race, the more you build heat. While the cops pile on the pressure, you gotta make tactical decisions using new escape mechanics to take control of the chase. Do you outrun the cops, battle them head-on, or hide out in Lakeshore's underground? Run these streets and you’ll reap the rewards.
- Express Yourself
Show off the latest fits and express yourself through your ride with the cleanest tags and driving effects to represent your personal style. Transform your car with unique wraps and cutaways, and stunt on the competition with customizable win poses.
- Find Freedom In The Flow
Discover trailblazing artists from the world of hip hop and its global interpretations with a genre-defying soundtrack led by A$AP Rocky and AWGE. The original score by Brodinski – the producer who built a connection between European techno and the Atlanta trap scene - embodies the underground culture that races through the heart of Lakeshore.
Need for Speed Unbound leaks
Five pictures of Need for Speed Unbound, the game's subtitle, and a number of modified cars are all included in the leak that came via a Japanese retailer, Neowing. If the leak is true, EA has changed the game's visual aesthetic. Cel-shaded anime imagery with vivid colors set off against dark backdrops will be included in Need for Speed Unbound.
Additionally, the leak suggests that the soundtrack for the game will be created by French DJ Brodinski and feature tracks by A$AP Rocky. The product description that was also exposed contains the following information:
Beat the clock, outsmart the cops, and compete in weekly qualifiers for Lakeshore's ultimate street racing challenge: The Grand.
