A new Ghostbusters game being in development was in rumor for a long time, however, since the announcement of the new Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, it was unveiled that IllFonic has developed the game internally rather than contracting out to a different studio.

However, taking the lead in making an announcement, Amazon revealed the Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed price too.

The Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will cost $39.99 (Physical Collector’s Edition $69.99) across all platforms, which is significantly more expensive than the original game, which cost $9, according to the Amazon listings.

Overuse of the PP will cause the Pack to overheat, disabling the Ghostbuster’s ability to lock down the Ghost for a time. One beam is often not enough—you will need multiple hands.

PKE Meter - Trust in the PKE Meter’s readings and follow wherever it leads you. A blinking light curving upwards means there’s a supernatural phenomenon—be it Ghost or rift—nearby and above you. A blinking light curving downwards means it’s underneath your location. Charge the PKE Meter to emit a close-range supersonic burst of energy that can disable a Ghost’s movement and reveal a hidden rift, but your PKE Meter will be out of commission for a time after.

Ghost Trap - Deploy your Ghost Trap whenever you encounter the Ghost, target them with the beam and drag them towards the trap’s opening to capture the Ghost, forcing it to respawn at one of its rifts (if any remain). Remember to pick up your trap before you run off—you only have one!

Grappling Hook - Ascend faster than ever by locating specific environmental points to throw out a grappling hook, pulling the Ghostbuster up and over any obstacles before them. Use this to better navigate each level to cut off a Ghost’s route or to get to a downed teammate faster.

Players will have to fly through different public spaces as a Ghost and steer clear of roving Ghostbusters. They can choose from a variety of different Ghosts, each with their own stats, special abilities, minions, and skills.

Movement - Affects your traversal speed.

Ectoplasm - Determines the size of the resource pool used for ability usage.

Possession - Controls the range of your ability to enter environmental objects.
