It has only been a few weeks since Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 started and players were able to see a lot of collaboration content in this new season. Not only that, but soon players will get to see heaps of Batman skins that will be sold in the Fortnite item shop which was a result of the Fortnite x Black Adam Collaboration.
And now as the time of holidays is approaching, it is time for Epic Games to give players seasonal events. Every time Fortnite organizes seasonal events with great excitement, and over ongoing years players have seen some staggering enactments.
Currently, Fortnite is set to bring the spooky event to full power, and this event will be known as Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022.

Fortntiemares 2022 start date
Epic Games has formally announced its forthcoming Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022 date, which provides frightful delights to Fortnite every year. It is the same start date that was guessed, keeping the previous seasonal events in mind.
The previous year, Epic dropped the Fortnite Fortnitemares on the 21st of October 2021, which was fourteen days before Halloween, and with this year's schedule, it was expected that Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022 will get started between patch 22.20/22.30 as the new patches are being released in every two weeks for Fortnite.
Well, our expectations were correct. On October 18, 2022, the Fortnitemares 2022 event starts and lasts until November 1 at 2 AM ET!

Fans were very excited to see what the upcoming festive skins have in store for them. Fans had high expectations and were hopeful that this year too Epic will carry out some tremendous skins.

As seen in the clip, Fortnitemares 2022 also has several brand-new cosmetics, including Rick and Morty's Queen Summer and Mr. Meeseeks as well as horror legend Ash from the Evil Dead. Glorzo Queen Summer and Mr. Meeseeks, two additional Fortnite skins, join Rick and Mecha-Morty in the Item Shop.
The Item Shop also sells the ghastly fan-made Outfits of Sinister Glare and Undying Sorrow. The Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022 trailer also implies that Ash might be a new boss by adding the character's recognizable chainsaw as a new Mythic weapon for players to find.

Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022 quests
Even if Fortnitemares 2022 has a lot of tricks, it also offers a lot of rewards. To obtain a collection of chrome equipment with a frightening theme, like the Everything's End Glider, Unmaker Pickaxe, and the ribcage-like Chrome Cage Back Bling, players must complete Fortnitemares Quests.
- Two Fortnitemares Quests will become available daily over 14 days.
- For completing five, you’ll unlock the Everything's End Glider.
- For completing 13, you’ll unlock the Chrome Cage Back Bling.
- And for completing 25, you’ll unlock the Unmaker Pickaxe.
- The Quests will be available to complete until Fortnitemares ends on November 1 at 2 AM ET.
- These Quests will see you perform the Alteration Altar ritual, visit Fortnitemarish places like Grim Gables, and use unvalued items like Candy and the Pumpkin Launcher.
- Complete Fortnitemares Quests to earn XP… plus some pleasant surprises.
After a protracted absence from regular gameplay of the Rocket Launcher in Fortnite, Candy, and the fan-favorite Pumpkin Launcher are back.
Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022 - Game mode
The Horde Rush mode in Fortnite is also making a comeback but with a new twist. The new Zero Build Horde Rush basically gives their hardest version of the game yet, containing the same conditions as previously but without the aid of any form of structure building.
- This time, the Cube Monsters have a trick up their sleeve with the Zero Build Horde Rush.
- Players with their teammates have to take down hordes of monsters, collect score multipliers, earn combos, survive at different locations, and take down the Final Boss without the aid of building.
- The Zero Build Horde Rush is available in the Discover screen until well after Fortnitemares ends (November 15 when downtime for v22.40 begins).
- Zero Build Horde Rush will remain beyond November 1 for a limited time and after Fortnitemares ends, look out for Horde Rush Quests to get a special reward.

Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022 - Howler Claws and Canine abilities
Players will meet DJ Lyka in the Reality Tree, where they can effectively shift into werewolves, as seen in a new trailer. Howler Claws, which provide the holder the Wolfscent and Slash Ability, are obtained by stepping on an Alteration Alter.
While the Slash Ability unleashes a four-hit melee barrage, the Wolfscent Ability grants tracking vision, allowing players to repeatedly mark nearby adversaries. There is also an ability called Air Slash, which is a double jump with damage upon landing.

Here players will be given the option to perform the Ritual Emote.
Altars can be found in other locations as well!
Once the ritual is complete, you’ll be bestowed the Howler Claws. Players can equip this supernatural item to gain canine abilities:
- WOLFSCENT ABILITY
With the Howler Claws equipped, howl to activate the Wolfscent Ability, lasting a limited time before going into a cooldown. The Wolfscent Ability gives you tracking vision, repeatedly putting a mark on enemies in a nearby radius. If no enemies are in the radius, the Wolfscent Ability will immediately enter the cooldown.
- SLASH ABILITY
Equipping the Howler Claws of course gives you… claws. But these claws are more than just really sharp fingernails. With the Slash Ability, show no restraint and perform a four-combo melee attack.
- AIR SLASH ABILITY
Your claws make you able to air slash too. With the Air Slash Ability, perform a double jump that damages opponents upon landing.
