Arven is described by his developers as "He’s good at cooking and is researching healthy recipes that can help Pokémon feel better. He will be asking you to help him out since he isn’t good at Pokémon battles."

Arven appears to be going to depend on the player character more and more as a result of his inability to fight well.

Penny

The Scarlet and Violet main character shares the same grade with Penny, another student from the academy. Penny rarely visits the academy because she is a very shy person. Penny gets noticed since she always has her Eevee bag with her.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduce two unique professors that are only available in certain versions of the game, a first for the mainline Pokemon games. Pokemon Scarlet features Professor Sada, whereas Pokemon Violet has Professor Turo.

Professor Sada

If players choose Pokemon Scarlet, Professor Sada will assist them in navigating their Pokemon trip. Although we still don't know a lot about Professor Sada, she seems to have been created with a more tribalistic aesthetic in mind.

She is wearing a necklace that is strung with what look to be beads and bits of rock or bone. She also has on a ragged orange shirt and shorts underneath her lab coat.

Professor Turo

Professor Turo is another option, and he will help trainers if they have picked Pokemon Violet. Turo's personality hasn't yet been given any specifics, but according to the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet website, "Each [professor] is carrying out research into certain lore passed down in the region."

Here Professor Turo's outfit, which includes a sleek jumpsuit with neon purple details all over it, feels quite futuristic. This seems related to Miraidon, which is the boxing legend for Pokemon Violet.

Two members of Scarlet and Violet's school faculty from whom the player will probably learn were also shown to viewers in the video. Mr. Clavell and Mr. Jacq are the two teachers at the academy where the protagonists' journey will start.

Mr. Clavell

Depending on the version chosen by the player, Mr. Clavell is either the Director of Naranja or Uva Academy. Mr. Clavell will take the liberty of showing players around the school when they first arrive since they will be transferred to the academy.

In Mesagoza City, the head of the Naranja Academy (Pokémon Scarlet) or Uva Academy (Pokémon Violet) is strict but kind in his teaching.

Mr. Jacq

At the academy, Mr. Jacq is in charge of teaching biology and is also the main character's homeroom teacher. He created the Pokédex App for Rotom Phones despite being a little airheaded and overly focused.

According to the official website, "He is the developer of the Pokédex app for the Rotom Phone and is very knowledgeable about Pokémon biology."

In keeping with his messy appearance, Mr. Jacq gives off the impression of being a bit of a twit who frequently gets sucked into his study.
