The video game franchise Yazuka is known as Ryu ga Gotoku in Japan. Sega owns, develops, and publishes this Japanese media franchise. It includes turn-based strategy, action role-playing, beat 'em up, open world, and action-adventure games.
One of the most highly regarded titles in the series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, was released in 2020 to praise from fans and critics alike. Players have been impatiently awaiting Yakuza: Like a Dragon's sequel, Yakuza 8, ever since the game became so well-liked. However, there aren't many updates on Yakuza 8 from the developers.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's executive producer and director, Masayoshi Yokoyama on April 29th at the Ryu Ga Gotoku Super Talk Stage, provided the most recent update on Yakuza 8's development. However, the only thing that was shared was that Yakuza 8 was actually progressing quite well, and the studio is virtually finished with the Yakuza 8 plot. Additionally, a lot of the performers chosen for Yakuza 8 have already begun to record the dialogue for their various characters.
Aside from this, the makers have not revealed any gameplay or trailer reveals. But to end the content void, fresh photos from Yakuza 8 have surfaced from a behind-the-scenes clip, offering players a sneak peek at the game's protagonist.
Below are the complete details on these Yakuza 8 images leaked.

Yakuza 8 Images leak via new Star of the game
Our first Yakuza 8 photos have just surfaced thanks to an off-screen YouTube video posted by a Japanese MMA fighter.
Sega President Haruki Satomi and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Representative Masayoshi Yokoyama could be heard directly inviting Japanese Mixed Martial Artist Mikuru Asakura to take the role of a character in the upcoming Yakuza 8 in a video that was recently uploaded by a well-known YouTuber.
The star walks the development studio in the video, giving us a look at some of Yakuza 7's characters. However, eagle eye fans spotted something interesting.
New screenshots of the still-in-development Yakuza 8—known as Ryu ga Gotoku 8 in Japan—were shared by Famitsu and fans can notice that the video gives a deeper look at three playable Yakuza 8 characters, including Ichiban Kasuga, Koichi Adachi, and Yu Nanba.
We see some modeling work and a cutscene with some of the main Yakuza characters at about the ten-minute mark of the video. Ichiban is the main character that caught fans' attention as regrettably, he no longer appears to have his afro.
Ichiban has chosen to wear a hair tie rather than the recognizable afro from Yakuza: Like a Dragon. On the other hand, Adachi and Nanba appear to have kept their original designs.

Yakuza 8's Ichiban Kasuga
Given that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life was the final game to feature Kazuma Kiryu as the series' protagonist, Ichiban had enormous shoes to fill. However, because of his likable attitude, he immediately won over fans after his release.
Yakuza 8 will have the same turn-based gameplay mechanics that were first introduced in Like a Dragon, along with Ichiban Kasuga as the main character.
The characters often make fun of Ichiban's hair, and the cutscene when he gets the afro is very memorable. Many fans have been dissatisfied with Ichiban's new hairstyle in Yakuza 8, but it's likely that the devs will go back to his former hairstyle at a later point in the narrative.
A word of caution, though. These screenshots might come from a different game entirely, not the Yakuza 8 development. The character with his new hairstyle can just randomly appear in the new game.
Additionally, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio stated that it is developing a game unrelated to the Yakuza or Judgement series, allowing him to participate in that as well.

Although Yakuza 8's events are expected to take place some years later than its prequel, SEGA had not provided any additional details up until today.
Yakuza 8 may include a new town, therefore it's reasonable to presume that most of the action will take place there, just like Yokohama is the focal point of Like a Dragon. There's a chance that the game will also feature additional cities, however, players would have to wait for official details.
Despite the fact that Yakuza 8's development was confirmed previously, no official announcement, gameplay, or trailer has been made for the game. Given that the creators don't appear to mind that this video is public, we wouldn't be shocked if Yakuza 8 were to be officially presented soon.
There you have it; that is all there is to know about the Yakuza 8 images leak revealing Ichiban Kasuga's new hairstyle.
