Genshin Impact typically releases new updates every six weeks (2.7 being an exception), and before the patch is made available, we get a beta test to see how the next stuff performs.
Dataminers recently had the chance to dig up the files and disclose the details of the next Genshin Impact 2.8 upgrade when we received the 2.8 private beta. Now that the new application forms for the Genshin Impact 3.0 beta have been distributed by miHoYo, this same 3.0 beta should start on July 13 with the release of patch 2.8.
Now with Genshin Impact 3.0 update, players will finally get the new awaited Sumeru region as miHoYo has already dropped its teaser.
Following the introduction of Sumeru in the Genshin 3.0 update, miHoYo will reportedly regularly release 15 new characters, including Dendro Archon. In addition, a list of upcoming Genshin Impact Sumeru characters that will appear in the upcoming 3.x patches, such as versions 3.0 and 3.1, has now also been leaked.

Genshin Impact Sumeru characters leak
There have been 1 or 2 two new characters and 2 or 3 banner re-runs in each of the previous Genshin Impact updates. With Klee, Kazuha, and Yoimiya's rerun scheduled for the upcoming 2.8 patch, Heizou has now been introduced as the new 4-star character to the player base.
However, many new unannounced characters, including those that will appear alongside and after the Genshin 3.0 update, have yet to be added. And, thanks to new Genshin Impact 3.0 leaks, new Sumeru characters have been made public.
Although the original Sumeru leaks previously showed off a number of the new area's locations, we now have some interesting facts acquired from dependable leakers on upcoming characters that will be making their appearance soon.
New Genshin 3.0 leaks contain a tonne of data and excellent representations of the Sumeru character models. These new Genshin Impact Sumeru characters include:
- Al-Haitham or Al-Haytham
- Collei

Genshin Impact Sumeru character - Collei
A new 4-star character making their debut in the Sumeru update is Collei. Collei is a 4-star Dendro Bow character that is in the process of becoming a forest ranger in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update, according to the leaks.
Collei has green hair and purple eyes, as seen in the picture. She is dressed in all-black with a faint green accent. She also sports an Ushanka cap and a Side Bag.
Travelers have been speculating about Collei's future appearance since she made her debut in the official Genshin Impact manga. Contrary to other characters in the game, the 4-star character lacks any innate special skills; instead, she possesses unique abilities that let her call upon strong magical abilities.
However, fresh 3.0 leaks have revealed much about Collei's abilities, along with leaked gameplay footage. The following are the Genshin Impact Collei abilities:
- Collei Elemental skill (E)
- Throws a boomerang that deals Dendro damage as it deploys and as it returns.
- Collei Elemental burst (Q)
- Throws a small mechanical cat sidekick that explodes, causing AoE Dendro damage. Once it explodes, the cat remains on the field, continuing to deal AoE Dendro damage.
- Collei Passive talent
- Decreases gliding Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%. Same as Amber’s passive talent.
The in-game data on Collie's introduction reads, "Forest Ranger-in-training, Collei, reporting for duty! I will ensure your safety during your traverse in the forest water - phew, finally I can say this introduction, I didn't mispronounce any word right..."

Genshin Impact Sumeru character - Dori
A 4-star user of the Electro Claymore, Dori is believed to make an appearance in Genshin Impact 3.0. She employs the female child model, travels as a wandering merchant, and fights with a claymore, however little is known about her past.
Her moveset has also been disclosed, just like those of the other playable Sumeru characters that have leaked from that update. Similarities exist with Kuki Shinobu's Elemental Skill, though without the drawback of HP loss.
An elemental turret that deals Electro damage is summoned using her elemental skill. The turret fires two extra bullets after impact, which track down and destroy adjacent adversaries.
Fresh Genshin 3.0 leaks have revealed much about Dori's abilities, along with leaked gameplay footage. The following are the Genshin Impact Dori abilities:
- Dori Elemental skill (E)
- Summons a turret whose shots deal Electro DMG. When these shots hit an enemy, the turret generates two "after salesservice" bullets that track down nearby enemies and deal additional Electro DMG.
- Dori Elemental burst (Q)
- Summons a "Spirit of the Lamp" that connects to the active character, regenerating HP and elemental energy. The connection between the spirit and the active character deals Electro DMG to the enemy when touched.
- Dori Passive talent
- 25% chance of refunding Character and Weapon Ascension Materials when crafted.
The in-game data on Dori's introduction reads, "Oh my, oh my? Isn't this the famously known Traveller? I am travelling merchant Dori Sange Mahabay. For your first encounter gift, all my items here will be on limited 10% discounted sales, quickly come and choose! I will help you pack."

Genshin Impact Sumeru character - Tighnari
With the Genshin Impact 3.0 Update, a 5-Star Dendro Bow character named Tighnari will be released.
According to the information provided on him, Tighnari has large ears and a poofy tail. The Charged Attack of Tighnari, which has characteristics resembling both Ganyu and Yoimiya, is also referenced in the recent 3.0 leaks. Although the two levels are comparable to both of them, the homing feature is particularly similar to what the latter character accomplishes.
The 5-star figure has "black, short, straight hair with two lime green stripes in his bangs," according to the leaks, and appears to be a skilled botanist.
Tighnari is one of three characters said to be playable in Genshin Impact 3.0. Moreover, fresh Genshin 3.0 leaks have revealed much about Tighnari's abilities, along with leaked gameplay footage. The following are the Genshin Impact Tighnari abilities:
- Tighnari Skill (CA):
- Level 1: Fires off a Dendro-infused arrow that deals Dendro DMG.
- Level 2: Shoots (Flower Basket?) arrows, dealing Dendro DMG. Upon hitting, it will summon 4 (Hidden Flower?) arrows that automatically home in on nearby enemies, dealing AOE Dendro DMG.
- Tighnari Skill (E)
- Throws an object that deals ranged AOE Dendro DMG and generates a field where enemies enter a state of “chaos”. Tighnari gains reduced charge time for his level two Charged Attack for the duration of his skill, or once he fires 3 Charged Attacks.
- Tighnari Skill (Q):
- Gathers [the power of all seeds] and fires arrows that track down nearby enemies, dealing Dendro DMG. When these shots hit an enemy, they generate additional arrows that track down nearby enemies and deal additional Dendro DMG.
- Tighnari Passive:
- Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Sumeru on the mini-map.
The in-game data on Tighnari's introduction reads: “Hello, my name is Tighnari and I am the Lead Ranger of the Dawson Rainforest, responsible for maintaining the ecology of the rainforest and the safety of pedestrians. If this is your first time in this area, my advice is to read through the “Dawson Rainforest Survival Guide” and focus on the chapter “How to distinguish edible mushrooms and poisonous ones"."

Genshin Impact Sumeru character - Al-Haitham
Al-Haitham's model has already won the hearts of the Genshin Impact community, and a tonne of fan art has already been created.
With his Dendro Vision emblazoned on his shoulder and a number of intriguing ornaments dangling from his attire, Al-Haitham's model tells more about the character design of his persona. Unfortunately, Al-Haitham's abilities have not yet been revealed in any leaks, although it is well known that he will be a 5-star Dendro sword character.
According to recent leaks, Yae-Miko and Raiden's interpersonal dynamics are comparable to those of Al-Haitham and Kusanali (Dendro Archon). Al-Haitham might be a retainer like Yae Miko, although there is currently no conclusive evidence. Now that Raiden and Yae Miko's equipment work so well together, there's a chance it might also happen between Al-Haitham and Kusanali.

Genshin Impact Sumeru character - Dehya
Dehya's in-game character model has been revealed by fresh Genshin 3.0 leaks, giving fans their long-awaited chance to admire a cat-eared character. According to the leaks, Dehya is a tall female Pyro who is an expert with Claymore weapons.
The Genshin Impact community and data miners are more inclined to believe that she is a 5-star character, despite the fact that there is some disagreement on her rarity. Dehya was leaked together with Tighnari, Dori, and Collei, however, the exact Dehya abilities have not yet been revealed.
The sheer number of new Sumeru characters makes it difficult to keep track of when each will be released. On the other hand, Dehya's release date, according to a tweet from hxg diluc, may be scheduled for Version 3.1 or 3.2.
Genshin Impact Sumeru character - Kusanali or Nahida

According to Zhongli, Sumeru's Archon is known as the Lesser Lord Kusanali, and she is known as the God of Wisdom. Moreover, her other name is Flower Archon.
We don't know anything in terms of Kusanali's weapon and rarity, but we did get to hear Kusanali's English voice in the short Sumeru teaser.

Genshin Impact Sumeru character - Nilou
Finally, Nilou's microwave render has been made available to Genshin Impact users so they may view the in-game model.
Nilou is a teen female character who has long red hair tied up in ponytails. Her dress features frills and is an exquisite garment. It has a white and ocean blue design. And on top of this, Nilou has on some gold accessories and horns that match Azdaha’s in all except the color.
The Hydro girl - Nilou is known for her elaborate dances and life-saving healing skills. It's interesting to note that this new support is rumored to have horns that remarkably resemble those of Azhdaha, the game's ancient earth dragon.
She will be an expert with the sword and is a 4-star Hydro character. The Elemental Burst animation and certain normal attacks that resemble Elemental Skill have been shown in leaked footage of Nilou's skills.
Nilou will be one of the first Sumeru characters featured in the upcoming major plot, according to more recent 3.0 leaks.

Now that we are done with the specifics on each of the upcoming Genshin Impact Sumeru characters, it is important to note that only three new characters are reportedly set to debut in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update - Tighnari, Dori, and Collei.
You'll see, though, that no specific banner release date is indicated. As a result, we will have to theorize it, and the most powerful weapon we have for this is the understanding of the phase at which a certain banner releases.
The typical time between upgrades is currently 42 days, while Version 2.7 went an extra day and lasted for 43 days. Genshin Impact 2.8 is scheduled to begin on July 13, 2022, thus if we add 42 days to that date, we would arrive on August 24, 2022.

Any banner typically lasts for 21 days, therefore that would place the second Genshin Impact 3.0 banner on September 14, 2022.
