The leak about Nintendo having a Nintendo Direct this month came out from Alanah Pearce (Santa Monica Studio writer and ex-IGN staff member). It was suggested that there are high chances of a Nintendo Direct June event will take place.
Moreover, the leak also suggested that the Nintendo Direct will be a big event that will last for about 30-40 minutes and will take place on June 29th.
In addition to that, there were previous rumors that the upcoming Nintendo Direct June event will also be introducing the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles games. The rumors about the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game were in talks for the last couple of years and now maybe we will finally be seeing the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game itself.

Nintendo was completely missing this time from the Summer Games Fest, despite hosting an Indie Showcase in May. However, it appears that a Nintendo Direct will take place before the end of June.
As per the announcement, 22nd June 2022 has been decided as the official Nintendo Direct June 2022 event date and it will go on for 20 minutes. Now even though the leaks suggested a later, it seems like Nintendo can't wait to show more about one of their upcoming title.
Instead of showcasing a variety of games, the current presentation, which is slated for June 22, will focus solely on the imminent release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
The official pots read, "From 23:00 on Wednesday, June 22, "Xenoblade 3 Direct 2022.6.22" will be broadcast. We will deliver information about "Xenoblade 3" released on July 29 (Fri). The broadcast time is about 20 minutes."

Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Talking about the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game, back in Feb 2022, Samus Hunter stated, “They now removed the page dedicated to the recruitment of the Xenoblade team (Production01). The tweet in itself was an indicator that the players can expect to see an announcement regarding the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game.
The highly anticipated sequel to 2017's Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a game set after the events of its predecessor, and it tells the story of two nations at war. Each of these nations, Keves and Agnus, will have its own protagonist for the player to govern.
