The upcoming MultiVersus title is a fighting game that has piqued the attention of fans due to the large number of IPs that Warner Media owns and can use in the title.
After the success of Super Smash Bros., several companies have attempted to replicate the original model including Brawlhalla and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, with varying degrees of success. Furthermore, comparable to Super Smash Bros., this upcoming fighting game features many characters from various Warner Bros. IPs.
A few of the MultiVersus diverse lineup of characters include heroes from Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, DC Superheroes, and Ultra Instinct Shaggy.
Now if you are a fan of these IPs, then you would have wondered whether Arya Stark is a more capable professional killer than Harley Quinn, or about who would win in a fight between Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and Finn The Human from Adventure Time, you'll soon have the opportunity to investigate those hypotheses as MultiVersus intends to convey fisticuffs between characters from a wide range of Warner Bros. properties.
Recently, the developers revealed a few additional characters to its layout through trailers, however, several new MultiVersus characters may have been discovered through the game's documentation.

New MultiVersus characters leak
Recently, MultiVersus released a closed alpha in preparation for the open beta to receive fans' reviews on the current development of the game. The MultiVersus Open Beta will be released in July, and players have already been speculating about which other characters will be added to the roster.
However, due to the dataminers, we now know what else to expect from the MultiVersus character roster.
The reported new MultiVersus character roster additions have been collated in a Reddit post, and it indeed is exciting for the fans. The following are the new MultiVersus characters that have been leaked via in-game files:

- Emmet (either Back To The Future or The Lego Movie)

- Gizmo and Stripe (Gremlins)
- Godzilla

- LeBron James (Space Jam 2)
- Legolas
- Mad Max
- Marvin the Martian
- Morty
- Neo (The Matrix)
- Nubia (DC Comics)
- Raven (Teen Titans)

Along with the character leaks, dataminers were also able to dig up some taunt files in the MultiVersus, revealing some more cameos. The Joker, Black Adam, and Godzilla are among the names on the taunt list.
The Joker and Black Adam are both easily playable characters who have already appeared in other fighting games like Injustice. Also, LeBron James could make an appearance in the game, which would make sense given his appearance in Space Jam: A New Legacy.
The upcoming videogame doesn't appear to be limited to Warner Bros. titles, as references to a 'Ninja' and a 'Brute' can be seen in the game's files.

A MultiVersus closed alpha is now underway, which is limited to players who have been invited and will terminate at the end of May 2022. Everyone else, on the other hand, won't have to wait long as the MultiVersus release date has been scheduled for July 2022.

We don't have a specific MultiVersus release date for that month yet, but we do know that's when the open beta will begin, allowing everyone to download and play the game.
