Overwatch 2 Beta leaks
Recently new leaks on Overwatch 2 were being shared on the web media as a few have got access to the Overwatch 2 Beta files.
Obviously, early access leads to uncovering some intriguing details prior to the official release, and one such Twitter user has revealed lots of info about the Overwatch 2 Beta, like the presence of a Battle Pass!
Overwatch 2 Battle Pass
Despite the fact that Overwatch has been around for nearly six years, Blizzard has stuck to the old method of introducing new thematic events with new cosmetics and selling loot boxes. The developers have never released a Season Pass or Battle Pass system for the game.
But keeping the latest gaming trends in mind, it appears that Blizzard is gearing up to follow the ongoing trend, and give a more lucrative progression system with a new Overwatch 2 Battle Pass feature.
As per dataminers on Twitter, the Overwatch 2 Beta version contains several lines of code that reveal the presence of a Battle Pass system.

The revelation of the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass hasn't gone down well with everyone, with some speculating that "To compensate for Blizzard's desire to incorporate the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass, the game will have to be made free-to-play. If they do go F2P, they must use account authenticator to reduce the number of Smurf accounts and increase barrier to entry into competitive - which can drag the current player base down."
Aside from that, leaks have also revealed that there are some strings in the files that look to be linked to PvE in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 PvE progression
It appears that the Overwatch 2 PvE section will have a unique progression system, with players being able to unlock new heroes and earn several progression points. It has been hinted that players might see Tier Progression, Hero Progression, and Role Progression while playing Overwatch 2.
Though the line of codes doesn't reveal much about how the Overwatch 2 PvE progression will work, purely based on a guess - it is possible that Blizzard is planning to introduce something similar to League of Legends with unlocking heroes for the PvE.

The scale of both the PvE game and the PvP updates for Overwatch appears to have grown significantly, more than it appeared at first. But maybe that's how normal game development works.
Several players, on the other hand, have been anticipating the Overwatch 2 PvE progression after seeing some signs in the past.
