Digimon Survive is a visual novel containing role-playing features and a turn-based combat system that will be released soon. For many Digimon fans, the new game represents a step forward in the franchise's maturity, as it features an older protagonist and allows for a more complex storyline.
Players' actions in Digimon Survive are crucial since they can affect the game's outcome, their Digimon's digivolution, and whether or not other characters live or die.
As stated by the developers, "In Digimon Survive, Takuma Momozuka goes on a school camping trip only to find himself transported to a mysterious world full of monsters and danger. Join Takuma and Agumon as you craft your story and fight your way back home in Digimon Survive."
Digimon Survive was supposed to come out in 2019, however, it was postponed until 2020. At the time, Kazumasa Habu, the game's producer, blamed the pandemic and how it reshaped game creation.

Digimon Survive release date
The Digimon Survive game, which was first promised in 2018, was postponed to 2020 in July 2019. The developers for Digimon Survive eventually notified fans in 2020 that the game would not be released until 2021. The game was postponed again in 2021, this time to 2022.
"Because of a reorganization of our game development structure, the original release date for Survive has been pushed back to 2020," Habu said of Digimon Survive.

Recent reports hinted that the Digimon Survive release date would not be far off, and producer Kazumasa Habu disclosed the game's official release date for this summer in a Wednesday update.
Habu officially announced the confirmed Digimon Survive release date in a 45-second update video broadcast to Bandai Namco's official YouTube page, revealing the date set for July 29th.
Digimon Survive will be released in July, almost precisely four years after the announcement of the newest Digimon title in the July 2018 issue of Japanese manga and gaming newspaper V Jump.

While Digimon Survive has been plagued by delays, it appears that these obstacles are finally coming to an end, thanks to famed leaker Nibellion on Twitter, who may have discovered the Digimon Survive release date.
July 28th will be the possible Digimon Survive release date which will now be launched on the PS4 and Switch, according to a Japanese magazine as pointed out by Nibellion.

Fans of the Xbox and PC versions of Digimon Survive should however be more concerned as neither of the platforms has been mentioned in the leak.

Yet, it is important to note that it might not be a global release date because this information comes from a Japanese magazine, implying the leaked Digimon Survive release date only applies to the Japanese edition of the game.
Talking about the global Digimon Survive release date, there is still no word on whether or not Digimon Survive will be released worldwide on July 28. But given the length of time fans have been waiting for this game, it may appear strange if Digimon Survive is not released simultaneously all over the world.
Other than the release date leak, Digimon Survive has launched its latest trailer featuring the cast and partner Digimon. Players can also spot some modifications to the game's dev team, but these changes have not hampered the game's production as stated by the developers.
Moreover, Digimon Survive was also officially rated by the ESRB in December of 2021 which has hinted at a soon-to-be-released official version.
