Genshin Impact Yelan drip marketing has been revealed officially

Players will get to explore the Genshin Impact 2.6 update on March 30th as officially announced by HoYoverse. Fans were eagerly waiting for the 2.6 Livestream to know crucial details about the coming update.

On Friday, 18th March at 08:00 AM (UTC-5), a 2.6 Livestream was held where a lot of details on new events, enemies, a new map, and banners were showcased. It was revealed that fans will get two banner reruns of Venti and Ayaka, where the first half of 2.6 will have Ayato and Venti and the second half will bring Ayaka.

However, fans were waiting for other characters to show up during the Livestream which was clearly missing from the event. But thanks to the leaks, these characters were datamined and leaked.

Recently, leaks shared a drip marketing artwork for Yelan and soon after the leak, Yelan was officially revealed by the devs.

The official Yelan artwork of shows her with blue hair as revealed by the model leaks and a lot of details regarding Yelan's kit are likewise revealed.

Yanfei about Yelan says, "Oh, you're looking for Yelan? Hmm, I'd like to suggest that you treat her as an ordinary person, but if you do, it's easy to lose control over negotiations. There are some things that really depend on her impression of you."

Previously, Yelan's model of all four different profiles was leaked, and Yelan looked as elegant as possible. As seen in the images Yelan has short hair and her clothes appear like a combination of Kaeya's and Albedo's, giving an immediate vibe.

Genshin Impact Yelan Voice Actor

While discussing Yelan's voice actor, leaks suggested, "It's your favorite female VA from next door", where the "Next door" is supposedly referring to Honkai Impact.

Now coming to the "beloved female voice actor from Honkai, players must be aware that Fu Hua is one of the secondary characters from Honkai Impact 3rd to which Yelan is being compared since the very beginning. So it is possible that Yelan's voice actor could actually be Minami Takayama.

Even though there was no direct indication of Minami Takayama, the leak did quote "beloved female voice actor" from Honkai, which quite possibly hints at Minami’s presence. However, there's another potential candidate for the role of Yelan's voice actor, Miyuki Sawashiro.

Miyuki Sawashiro definitely tops the players' choice in Honkai Impact as she voiced Raiden Mei there and in Genshin Impact she has voiced Raiden Shogun, both of which are connected in some way or the other.

We have possibilities of having both "a VA from Honkai, but not necessarily voicing the same character that based off on the character from Honkai" or "the character the VA from Honkai is voicing is based on that same character."

Genshin Impact Yelan Release Date

Since the Yelan character has been revealed officially and HoYoverse has already announced who all are going to appear in the 2.6 update, it is safe to say that either May 11, 2022, or three weeks later, the start of June will be the official Yelan release date.

There are both possibilities that Yelan will be released with the 2.7 launch or will probably come with the second Genshin 2.7 banner. However, leakers claim the first case.

Recently, on March 21st, an NGA user shared info about Yelan's in-game role and skills which can be right or wrong.

As per the leaked info, Yelan is a fan off-field hydro applicant and her HP scaling might not mean much since Xingqiu’s healing (which isn’t the main use for him) scales off HP too. Moreover, a rough translation of Yelan's abilities was likewise provided by the leakers.

E - Self-buff to give self HP vitamin, charge attack speed faster
Q - makes dice and pick them back up to heal self
A1 - Yelan's charge attacks now make dice too, pick up dice during E vitamin state, heals self and go boom when HP is over the natural hp threshold
A4 - HP cap for everybody is raised when in E vitamin state, and additional buffs depending on how many "dice" you pick up (the dice from the ult)
Con 1 - Every time you get a 6, you get 6 energy back
Con 2 - +4 seconds to ult
Con 4 - Crit 30% for the character's in the ult field

The reason we are mentioning these past datamined leaks is that this somehow aligns with this new leak.

Genshin Impact Yelan weapon

First, Yelan has a model that has been leaked via 2.6 beta, second, she's been identified as a user of the Hydro Bow. Her left hip is adorned with a Hydro Vision, hence hinting at her being a Hydro user.

She was revealed to wield bows several months ago, with the weapon codenamed "Kirin Bow," but there is no other information about it.

It has been claimed that this unreleased 5-star character will strike her enemies from far away with deadly arrow shots. However, there are all the possibilities that developers would change her weapon type before Yealn is actually released in the main game.

The character they're referring to is probably Seele, as she shares a color scheme with Yelan and has an affinity with water, her hair also is similar and she's voiced by the highly beloved veteran voice actress Nakahara Mai. Pretty much all of the main characters in Honkai are voiced by A list actresses, all of which are fan favorites, but Seele's the only character who fits the appearance. Also, Sawashiro Miyuki is a fantastic voice actress, probably the best in the business, but I doubt they're going to have her play another role after playing Raiden Shogun. Takayama Minami is also a great voice actress, but she's not as well known today as Nakahara Mai, and chances are they will get her to play whoever serves as an alter ego to Fu Hua, some speculate it will be a young Madame Ping, as the image of her looks similar to Fu Hua.
