Terraria 2, the sequel of the original Terraria is possibly under work as suggested by new teasers.
Terraria 2 game can possibly be released soon |
Those unaware, the original Terraria game was released back in 2015 and was developed by Re-Logic. The Terraria game has remained fresh over the last decade thanks to regular upgrades that have added fresh content to the sandbox-action game.
This 2D action-adventure gem appears simple at first glance, but there's a treasure mine of stuff to do just beneath the surface (literally). Terraria is heavily reliant on crafting. Gamers can also use the raw materials they've gathered to produce beautiful bases with cozy furnishings, powerful fantasy weapons and armour, and much more.
Terraria's sandbox nature relies hugely on deformable terrain to keep it interesting, implying fans have no limit when it comes to crafting. Terraria has a lot going for it outside just creating, with ever-changing settings and a range of objects to craft.
The Terraria game has been a solid example of a 2D action-adventure game with decent sales numbers, hence it is natural for the fans to await the Terraria sequel, that is Terraria 2. So, those looking forward to the new Terraria game, we have some fascinating news for you as new rumours suggest that Terraria 2 is possibly under development.

Terraria sequel - Terraria 2 leak
Some fascinating Terraria 2 rumors have been floating on the web, suggesting that the sequel was in the works and will possibly get an announcement soon.
The rumors are on the roof as Terraria creator Andrew ‘Redigit’ Spinks, updated the location in his Twitter bio to say “Terraria 2 – a new age”
Andrew "Redigit" Spinks, the developer of Terraria and the founder of Re-Logic, recently indicated on social media that Terraria 2 might be in the works. While Spinks didn't specifically mention Terraria 2, he did alter the location in his Twitter bio recently, hinting at the long-awaited Terraria sequel.
Spinks' Twitter address now displays "Terraria 2 – A New Age," which could be the title of a possible Terraria sequel.

Terraria YouTuber Chippy quickly noticed the alteration, and fellow Terraria developer Whitney 'Cenx' Spinks warned of "spoilers", adding that "Red is a massive troll." I wouldn't put my faith in it. "Or would I?".
They also changed the Twitter bio to tease "Terraria 2.5 the Final Update" on Twitter. Again, Spinks hasn't mentioned anything specific about the possible tease, but the change has riled up a lot of fans.
While the existence of Terraria 2 is still unknown, the developers are clearly prepared to create some excitement and stir a new flow of speculation among gamers. Indeed there's no better approach to announce a Terraria sequel than by teasing everyone on Twitter after releasing approximately four final updates for the original Terraria game.
While Terraria sequels and spin-offs have previously been planned and then shelved, it appears like hope for Terraria 2 may be revived.
For those who are unaware, the Terraria sequel has been in the works for quite some time. It was first unveiled in 2013, but there have been several revisions since then. Redigit was supposed to work on Terraria: Overworld before Terraria, but things didn't go as planned.
The Terraria spinoff was planned to include aspects of strategy and roleplaying, however, was ultimately scrapped. Following that, Redigit returned to Terraria, and then the developer unveiled the plans for a sequel in 2019.
Since then, devs have maintained complete silence about the title, however, in the meantime, we've seen several significant upgrades to the original game.
The most current rumour reveals nothing about the Terraria 2 release date or if it's actually in development or not. However, given that the devs aren't expected to make any teases without reason, it's possible that we'll hear something about the Terraria 2 game soon.
Terraria, the 2D action-adventure game has fared better against the test of time and has been quite popular amongst the other well-known titles in the genre. So, it wouldn't be a wrong choice if the developers actually drop the Terraria 2 title.
However, currently, these are all speculation and leaks, hence it is suggested to take all the information with a grain of salt. For now, fans can only be hopeful that as the months pass, the developers will release more information on the game.
