On Friday, 4th February at 07:00 AM (UTC-5), a 2.5 livestream was held where a lot of details on the upcoming banners and characters, along with a glimpse of new events, enemies, a new map, and much more was showcased.
We have had numerous Genshin Impact new characters leak, having a sufficient amount of in-game data to prove their existence. And one of these is the much-anticipated new Genshin Impact character is Kamisato Ayato.
Recently we had a leak regarding Ayato and Ayato's skills along with potential Ayato artwork and release date leak and, now miHoYo has officially revealed the new upcoming character - Ayato.

Genshin Impact Ayato officially revealed
It was claimed that Ayato will be shown on the 2.5 livestream on February 4, and indeed the leakers were right. Prior to the Genshin 2.5 livestream, miHoYo released the official Genshin Impact Ayato drip marketing.

Genshin Impact's Ayato is one of the upcoming characters that is rumored to be coming in the 2.6 update. So far the leakers have found the voice of the much-awaited character Kamisato Ayato and it is suggested that he will be a 5-star Hydro Sword user. And today an NGA user shared a new post revealing Ayato's abilities.
So let's get into the details of this Genshin Impact new character leak, Kamisato Ayato's abilities.
Genshin Impact Ayato Normal Attack - Kamisato Slash
We have no info on Ayato's Charged Attack or Plunging Attack, and not everything was revealed about Ayato's Normal attack, however, it has been mentioned:
- Normal Attack - Ayato performs up to 5 consecutive slashes with his sword to deal major Hydro DMG.
Genshin Impact Ayato Elemental Skill - Flowing Water of Kamisato Press
- Press - Ayato casts a sacred spell, casting forward a miniature paper figurine, and gains a stack of Kendo Pose.
- Hold - Ayato casts forward a miniature paper figurine then dashes forward, attacking the enemy with powerful Hydro DMG, and gains 2 stacks of Kendo Pose.
The cooldown of Ayato Elemental Skill is 20 seconds (however, it wasn't mentioned if the press or hold skill is 20 seconds).

- Ayato's Paper figurine
Regarding the Paper figurine, it has been revealed that this small paper figurine will be taunting the enemy and attracting them to get closer to the paper figurine, and then deal Hydro DMG to surrounding enemies over time.
The figurine is claimed to explode and deal large amounts of AoE Hydro DMG, when the enemy's attacks deal a certain amount of damage to the figurine or when its duration expires.
The longest time Ayato's figurine will stay on the field is claimed to be 12 seconds.
- Ayato's Kendo Pose
Whenever Ayato gains a stack of Kendo Pose using his elemental skill, the vapor of the surrounding water attaches to his blade, which gives his sword a solid Hydro infusion, and a certain amount of his attack additionally gets increased based on the basic attack power.
It can stack up to 5 times, however, he also loses a stack every 2 seconds whenever he's out of the battlefield.
Genshin Impact Ayato Elemental Burst - Surging Blade of Kamisato
Ayato's normal attacks, charged attacks, and plunging attacks are infused with Hydro DMG, which additionally can't be overridden by any other infusion.
With the use of Ayato's Elemental Burst, the attack speed and attack range of his normal attacks are increased.

The rest of the details on Ayato's passive talents, including their names, are yet to be revealed but we can be hopeful that the full kit will be leaked soon.
Genshin Impact Ayato Constellations
We are yet to the details on every one of Ayato's constellations and the exact names are additionally unrevealed, but we do have an idea of what few of these constellations are about.
- Constellation 2 - If a paper man is on the field at the time when Ayato casts his Surging Blade of Kamisato (burst), then a Hydro vortex will be made, sucking enemies in at the position of the paper man.
- Constellation 4 - The cooldown reduction of Ayato's second passive talent is incremented from 1 second to 2 seconds.
Genshin Impact Ayato's weapon
We didn't receive any fresh leak on Genshin Impact Ayato's signature weapon, however, earlier, it has been mentioned earlier by the leakers that Ayato is a 5-star Hydro Sword user. Moreover, the in-game text also discusses Genshin Ayato being capable of handling both a sword and a polearm proficiently.
So, with all the abilities leak it is a fact that Genshin Impact Ayato will obviously have a sword position in his Elemental Skill, yet no solid Ayato leak asserts what will be his weapon of choice.
There were additional leaks in the past that mentioned the different abilities of Ayato with the names Buff, Weapon Buff, and Modifier, and it was stated that he will boost the power of the teammates. The past list of datamined Ayato skills includes a few of the below mentioned:

Genshin Impact Ayato release date
The NGA leak also talked about Ayato's appearance, where it asserted that Ayato is currently being revised, including his model, so there are chances that we might not get to see him before the Spring Festival.
Moreover, Ubatcha also revealed in his recent tweet that the 2.6 update will introduce 2 new characters, where Ayato will be a 5-Star character, and Heizou will be a 4 Star. So, players will probably have to wait till March 30th when update 2.6 releases.
While discussing Genshin Impact's new characters leak, it was likewise mentioned that Ayaka and Yoimiya reruns are possible in the 2.6 update and Dain will also return to the game.
