A new Splinter Cell game is in development at Ubisoft |
Numerous beloved video game franchises have made a return this year like Nintendo's Metroid series and Activision's Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon series. All of these series and their publishers kept the fans on hold for quite a while and after many requests from dedicated fans, these games have made a return.
Similar is the case with Ubisoft's Splinter Cell franchise as it appears that the developers of the franchise are all set to return Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell in the form of a new game.
Ubisoft released Splinter Cell in 2002 for Xbox first and then ported it to the PC, PlayStation 2, and Gamecube. Players were highly dazzled by Ubisoft's capacity to make tense situations while pushing the limits of the consoles available at that time as the game offered a more realistic take on stealth as compared to Metal Gear.

Currently, we have different iterations of the Splinter Cell game having six mainline games. Splinter Cell: Blacklist was the last game in the franchise that was released back in 2013, and after that, there was no discussion on the Splinter Cell series, however, now it is being claimed that new addition in the franchise is in early development.
New Splinter Cell gameplay details leaked
As per known leaker, Tom Henderson the new Splinter Cell game is in the early development phase and will be adopting a more open-world approach.
In the past, we have seen the series following a set pattern, while offering players decisions in each encounter, however, this time it is being claimed that the new Splinter Cell game will give players the opportunity to explore the map completely while possibly being a "more stealthy version of Assassins Creed,"
Moreover, adding to it, Henderson in his latest Twitter post guaranteed the new Splinter Cell game will follow Halo Infinite's single-player campaign. So it appears as though Ubisoft's new Splinter Cell will see Sam Fisher utilizing gadgets and vehicles to explore a bigger map as the latest Halo Infinite game gave fans an open world loaded with missions and quests.

The leak doesn't seem unrealistic as Ubisoft has already become akin to open-world games. They have already adopted an open-world format for Phantom Recon and The Division, so getting a new Splinter Cell game in the open-world format is highly likely.
It is still unclear what Ubisoft has planned for the new Splinter Cell title, yet it is truly conceivable that the establishment could be rebooted for a totally new age as the first game is almost 20 years of age.
These were the complete details about the new Splinter Cell game that has been revealed so far, yet fans should keep in mind that Ubisoft is yet to make an official announcement, so for the time being this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
