Battlefield Season 1 release date can possibly get delayed till March 2022.
Battlefield 2042 Season 1 release is not planned anytime soon |
The latest title in the first-person shooter video game series Battlefield, Battlefield 2042, was released recently on 19 November 2021. All in all, it ended up being one of the most disappointing and upsetting video game launches of 2021.
Many other issues in Battlefield 2042, players complained about bad hitboxes, broken vehicles, issues with bullet registration and accuracy, a lack of features, and shoddy PC performance. And this reaction by the gamers’ community is being displayed prominently over on Steam, where just a couple of days after its release, Battlefield 2042 became one of the worst-reviewed games in Steam history.
Right now, only about 33% of the total reviews on Steam have anything positive to say about it. “When BF3 came out, I thought to myself, imagine how Battlefield will look like in ten years. Was not expecting this…,” said one popular Steam review. In fact, just after a month of its release, you can already purchase the game at a 34% discount on Steam.

Seeing the initial reaction being mostly negative for this game, the developer, DICE, and the publisher, EA, of Battlefield 2042, have promised to sort out all of the problems that gamers might have faced in the game so far.
And EA and DICE have held up their promise. Battlefield 2042 has already received huge patches and bug fixes, addressing some of the major glitches present in the game since its release.
But unfortunately, the downward spiral for Battlefield 2042 doesn’t stop here. A new leak that was datamined recently shows that no new content, nor any new season, will be introduced in the game until March 2022.

No New Content for Battlefield 2042 Season 1 Before March 2022 Claims Leakers
The credit of this leak goes to the well-known data miner temporyal, a prominent name in the Battlefield 2042 circle. temporyal alleges that there are 12 preseason weeks present in the Battlefield 2042 client.
Now, as previously stated, the new season of Battlefield 2042 is not going to come out till March 2021. However, this might not mean that there won’t be any new ‘content’ out before that month.
According to temporyal, there’s a possibility that some of the preseason weeks present in the video game client are there as ‘backup,’ and that gamers might not have to wait till March to get their hands on some new Battlefield 2042 content.

🗓️ Season 1 seems to be scheduled for March 2022 (unless they've added a few weeks as "backup").
🇨🇦 "Exposure" is probably the final name for the previously datamined "Ridge" map.

temporyal also states that a new map will be arriving with the first season of Battlefield 2042. The name of Battlefield 2042 Season 1 map, temporyal says, will be ‘Exposure,’ instead of ‘Ridge,’ as was stated earlier.
It is based around a landslide-affected Canadian-US research facility base. The landslide exposed the interior of the base, displaying a new weapon. The Russians want to secure this weapon and deploy forces for this purpose.
Earlier, almost a couple of months ago, temporyal had tweeted a data mined leak about a Battlefield 2042 Season 1 map called ‘Ridge.’

With all that said, remember to take any leaks about this Battlefield 2042 Season 1 content with a grain of salt until there’s an official announcement as nothing is certain.
Well, that’s about all the information there is about the new content of Battlefield 2042. If you had been holding out hope that Battlefield 2042 might improve, the March of 2022 is the month to look forward to.
