Call of Duty frequently brings remasters as remasters and sequels are the new trend in the gaming community, however, currently, it seems as though Activision is opting out of this race.

Modern Warfare 2: Multiplayer Remastered was in rumors for quite a while, however, Activision never really affirmed its development, yet Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered was released back in 2020 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Players were able to get exclusive content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Warzone with this Campaign Remastered, which additionally permitted them to hop once more into the classic story with refreshed visuals.

However, now an industry insider has revealed that the idea of releasing Modern Warfare 2: Multiplayer Remastered has been dropped by Activision, probably due to another upcoming project.

On November 10, a new yet prominent CoD leaker, RalphsValve has revealed that Modern Warfare 2's Remastered Multiplayer mode has been dropped by Activision. 

Back in April 2021, Tom Henderson expressed that the Modern Warfare 2: Multiplayer Remastered will not be showing up in 2021 as the game has been in talks for quite a while, however, the leaker did not really guarantee that it will be totally dropped. 

RalphsValve did not reveal the insights about the reason why the supposed upcoming title was dropped, yet there are high chances that the supposed Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty 2022 is the reason behind it.

Activision has had great success in Call of Duty: Warzone, and now the supposed Modern Warfare 2 is set to show up with a new Warzone map that will probably highlight exemplary MW2 maps, so things could get truly confusing if Activision will release both Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Multiplayer and Modern Warfare 2 game. 

However, there's also a possibility that CoD Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Remastered was never in progress, yet if the leaker is on point, then we will probably never know if the game was indeed in development or not.

Whatever be the case, leakers are constantly dropping new info about the upcoming CoD Modern Warfare 2 game, including its maps and more. However, fans should keep in mind that these details are not official, so they should take this information with a grain of salt.
